This hotel, in Mashobra, is about 25 years old, built somewhat, in colonial style, surrounded by a very well maintained garden and emerald green lawns. You climb the few steps past an array of marigold in full bloom and step into an exquisitely furnished, decorated and maintained lobby leading to the reception desk.

Check-in is efficient, the staff very friendly & cooperative and the room, overlooking the grounds, presented a simply delightful view !

Food was excellent as was the service in the dining hall. For the first time on this vacation we were served food that was not only tasty but mild enough not to send us rushing to pop antacids!

The General Manager, Mr. Chauhan was a unique character. He would take pains to ensure every component of our stay with them was as perfect as possible. He was friendly without being intrusive and clearly managed his 'kingdom' firmly & efficiently. He had to leave on some personal work the day after we arrived and immediately thereafter, there seemed to be a perceptible drop in the efficiency of the hotel team even though we were the ONLY guests in the hotel!

The quality of food dipped a bit, response time was marginally higher, availability of resources - like hot water, wifi connection - a little uncertain.....not enough to complain but there was a difference when the gentleman was not around.

Would I come back here again?

Let me just say it is hotels like this that spoil you and raise your expectations to a level that most others cannot even hope to meet....

Hospitality was awesome and inspite of we reaching late in the night 10.15pm, they ensured hot food is served. Food taste is good.

Hotel is very far from main Shimla mall road so incase you need peace this is the rightplace for you. But incase you need to cover main tourist spot you need to select nearby mall roads Hotel.

We visited this hotel in december to celebrate my wife's n friends birthday. We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days..We were welcomed by the group and whole lugage moved to rooms.

Pros:
1. Property was neat and clean, situated at a good calm place and view is good for super deluxe rooms.
2. Rooms were quite spacious but no balcony
3. Big garden space for play n activities.
4. Overall the staff was good and mannered.
5. Mr. Devendra Chauhan(Manager) was keen to listen the problems and trying to sort out.

Lets come to issues.
1. There is no direct line to restaurent due to which talks got micommunicated.

2. We order food for lunch and the front desk forget to order gravy item and just send the rest of food with chinese and chapati's and missed to communicate gravy item. Even when we asked again for it they asked for another 30mins.

3. Ordered chilly chicken and they send bone chilly chicken and when asked thy said its 2 variants, but its ok.

4. Room Service was not so prompt, not sure if it was due to less staff in covid times. Our kid made floor wet and we asked for mop but no reaponse.

We booked two Super Deluxe rooms from 25 dec to 26 dec for our family considering it as resort. But, this was just a hotel not resort. We asked hotel to make ready rooms before one hour of our arrival but they made us to wait for 15 minutes. Even after that rooms were not ready completely. Hot water was not available in bathroom, Dish TV was not recharged, shower gel was not there, room slippers were not provided and used water of previous guests was in electric kettle & jug. One of the rooms’s bathroom door got locked. They do not have key of that bathroom. We have to shift to other room. They wasted our two hours on these things. Bed mattress was overused and it doesn’t have proper cushioning. Room heaters and hair dryers were not provided. That was chargeable. We took lunch there because there was no food options nearby to this place. Food in lunch was good in taste. So no complaint on that. It was paid by us not included in package. There were less options in dinner menu and breakfast menu provided in package. My suggestion not to book this resort, it will make worse your vacation. General Manager Mr Chouhan who just talked a lot like marketing person here but not try to improve their service.

Feedback Regarding Our Wedding Experience at Your Hotel

I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service and behavior we encountered during my sister’s wedding at your hotel. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we had hoped for, and the actions of your General Manager were particularly troubling.

Firstly, there were multiple instances where prior commitments made by your team were denied. Specifically, the General Manager requested payments from individual guests, particularly from the groom’s side, which caused embarrassment for my father. We had clearly communicated earlier that these payments should not be solicited in such a manner, especially without prior notice.

What was most disturbing was the General Manager’s behavior, such as personally checking guest rooms in the middle of the night. Our guests found this highly intrusive and unprofessional. It is normal during a wedding for guests to visit each other’s rooms, and if there were concerns regarding additional beds, we were more than willing to pay. However, the manner in which this situation was handled was unacceptable.

Additionally, on the day of the Mehndi ceremony, my sister, the bride, received over 20 calls from the General Manager demanding payment for food and rooms, which was both inappropriate and inconsiderate. This occurred during the event and even late at night, around 12 AM. As hoteliers ourselves, we know that it is both unethical and against basic hospitality standards to disturb guests at such hours, particularly during a wedding celebration.

The final issue came during breakfast when we found plastic in one of the sandwiches. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, the General Manager merely blamed the waiter, stating that he would “scold” them, without taking ownership of the incident.

What saddens me the most is that the General Manager openly stated in front of our guests that he could ruin my sister’s wedding if he wanted to. This level of unprofessionalism is shocking and unacceptable in any establishment, especially in the hospitality industry.

In all my 10 years of experience as a hotelier, I have never encountered such poor management and customer service. I sincerely hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that appropriate actions will be taken to ensure no family has to endure such an experience in the future.

I hope this works well for your feedback!

Dear Mam Allow us a moment to clarify. The main organiser booked just 2 rooms in advance but in arrival your sister, the bride, demanded 9 rooms. At the very reception the bride and her father had an argument as to who will pay for the extra rooms. Then, the bride's father was bringing packed paranthas for all your guests from local dhabhas. At the very begining during booking of the venue, it was made amply clear that rooms and banquet charges have to be cleared on day 1. However, your family was passing the buck saying the bride will pay, then the bride's father will pay then nobody paying the dues. Further, we were told that out of 9 rooms booked 7 will check out on the morning of the wedding and new guests will come in. This is unseen behaviour that we have come across. When people book a wedding venue they don't bring paranthas for entire wedding attendees from dhabas and eat on paper plates in a hotel. People don't fight amongst themselves as to who will clear the dues. People don't check out from the hotel before the wedding has even started. And the same feedback was shared not just by our staff but also by the other vendors like photographers, decorators etc. So before you blame us for taking a blunt approach towards billing, please check the reasons behind it. As for charging the groom's family for order, your father had goven clear instructions to charge directly for all orders. Had you been willing to pay for it, we would have no problem in charging you at departure like the additional breakfast cost was charged before departure. You claim to be a hotelier, so it would have been better to educate your family that you cannot pass the responsibility to clear dues from one person to another even before the start of your function.

Dear Guest First of all no hotel has seperate kitchens for veg and non vegetarian food. Also, after each cooking, the utensils are washed and may be used for cooking of the new dish which maybe veg or non veg. Lastly, we don't even have any apartments. Clearly you have not even stayed at our property and there is definitely some other intention behind this review as you don't even have the property facts in place.

Dear Guest Let me start by saying that we are sorry that your review does not reflect the service that we intend to provide to our guests. However, your review clearly talks about the services provided by your taxi driver & not the hotel. We understand that the taxi you hired was not in line with your expectations, however, since we do not provide such taxi services, it is quite unjustified to give a poor rating to our property because of your driver's poor service level. Irrespective of the same, we wish to convey our sincere apologies and reiterate that this review is far form the service level provided at the property. We hope that you give us a chance to host you again and ensure you experience the best services offered at the property.

We booked the hotel for 2 nights during the recent long weekend. With the ongoing pandemic, we were looking for a place that is not in a busy crowded area and at the same time someplace where we can get open space and fresh naturual air. We found this hotel and the pics looked promising. Booked it and found it to be just as we though it would be.
They arranged bonfire in the garden area to beat the evening chill. Fresh air and abundance of nature.
Food was good and freshly prepared by the look and taste of it. Rooms were neat and clean and most of all hygienic. Bed sheet and towels were also clean and fresh as we were little sceptical about getting something dirty because of covid but it was all taken care of.
Over all nice stay and we enjoyed the first break after the lockdown.

We were looking for a hotel near shimla away from the hustle and bustle of Shimla and this hotel was the perfect location!!!
The rooms were nice and cozy with a beautiful niche to sit and enjoy the beauty of the hills.
The family room toilet was a bit smelly due to lack of ventilation but i believe they are in the process of renovating the same.
The restaurant food has serious scope of improvement and the breakfast options were very limited.
Overall it was a nice and comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
