We were fortunate to spend two weeks at the El Bogavante apartment in the charming small town of Arrieta. This spacious apartment is furnished and equipped to meet the needs of the discerning visitor, including dishwasher and wine fridge. The sea is literally outside the windows! Phillip is a gracious host who provided us with lots of helpful information on...

Lanzarote is a surreal beautiful island, and in Arrieta, one of the last quiet beautiful fishermen towns left, you can find a second home (almost) floating over gentle waves and the loveliest, most attentive hosts you could ask for.

The pictures are exactly as the 'real' live venue. The sea is right outside your window and the views are spectacular. The accommodation is well equiped and very well looked after ; the cleaner comes in twice a week and changes towels and has a good clean around. This accommodation is as good as staying at a hotel. The owner...

This lovely accommodation could not be more suitably named. We stayed in the El Centollo with stunning views of the sea crashing onto the rocks below. The way the studio has thoughtfully been laid out also means you can watch the sun rising over the sea from the bed, just beautiful! The accommodation is well equipped with lovely modern furnishings...

From the first email query to the last assistance in moving on to our next accommodation Philipp could not have been more helpful, welcoming and professional. We stayed in Loft El Centollo which opens out onto the wonderful view of the sea and the rocks below. The appartment was well equipped for catering as an option. Restaurants are near by...

This guesthouse is on the rocks right at the water's edge. If you looked out your window, you would think you were on a cruise ship. The rooms are modern, bright and clean. The only drawback is you can see into the bathroom. There is also a rooftop terrace which would be a great place to hang out, except we...

I had read reviews of this lovely place but you never really know until you experience it for yourself, do you? I've done a bit of travelling and found it can be quite stressful sometimes- making the transfers, finding things, just generally getting sorted out, so you can get on and enjoy the holiday. Not this time! It was the...

The location is perfect, right on the sea and very close to some of the most unusual and fascinating scenes in this world, a few of which I've included photos. Located in the town of Arrieta, a small, peaceful, authentic local village with a cafe on the water and a number of restaurants, including right down the block the Restaurante...

We stayed here for a week in February 2012, and liked it so much that on return we immediately booked for two weeks in February 2013. Arietta is a lovely little village - quiet with an interesting shore and decent beach 10 minutes walk away. We mostly ate at the beach restaurant and enjoyed the reasonably priced seafood. There are...

We stayed at El Mar Y Tu twice: in August and in January. We decided to come back not so much because of Lanzarote, that is a nice island, but to remain in a romantic, charming mood that this magical house generates in everyone. The apartament is next to the sea that you can watch and listen to in every...

Nestling on the north-eastern coast, this pretty little village is being discovered by the discerning traveller. It has a beautiful sandy beach with an excellent beach bar specialising in tapas, tasty snacks and paella. It has charming waiters and plays top (not too loud) music. The beach is very safe for swimming and the water is crystal clear if you want to don the goggles. There is also a scuba diving school for the more serious. On windy days the scene is transformed as the waves get up, if you're a surfer then this is one of the top spots for impressing the ladies. Or the ladies impressing the gentlemen! Arrieta has many smashing little bars and restaurants, most of them settled right on the ocean. Needless to say the fish and seafood are fantastic, and the service, attentive and friendly. Prices are good and the portions are generous. ... more   less

“The rooms at the sea side of the house are amazing, do be aware that the sea does come right to the property so sea sounds are prominent. WiFi is available in the property, however if you are a connection freak then be aware that you get the best connectivity in the stairwell (rather than your room)”

“I would say go for a sea view. It really is a fantastic experience waking up with the sun rising over the horizon and the sound of the sea. The room at the back was kindly made available to us for a shower due to late flights on the day of departure and is lovely too - may be better for light sleepers (the sea can be noisy)”
