Enjoy the new location of The Glasshouse on The Ganges, tucked privately in what was once Neemrana’s Himalayan Hideaway. It is a magical natural spot where you can literally open your windows in another world where clouds float in and out to show you views of the Garhwal Himalayas. Set in a garden of tropical plants, full of rare birds and butterflies, our Rishikesh hotel has a sand beach of its own. After the maddening hustle of the crowds which throng the daily dip or the Kumbh Mela, there is no better haven of calm anywhere in the vicinity of Rishikesh. It is known for its serene and spiritual atmosphere. You can easily commute between the Glasshouse and the crowded pilgrimage spots without feeling the strain of its fascinating but continuous oppression of numbers–the calmest bank to watch the Kumbh! You can enjoy an evening Arti at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram. You could also visit the Ram Jhula and the Lakshman Jhula.

Nestled by the tranquil Ganges, Neemrana's Glasshouse on the Ganges garners praise for its serene and picturesque setting, which guests find especially inviting. Travelers consistently commend the hotel staff for their exceptional service, contributing to the warm and attentive atmosphere of the property. The spacious and immaculately clean rooms are a highlight, although some guests feel that the hotel's value is not quite in line with its pricing, particularly when it comes to meals and accessibility. While the scenic location and well-maintained amenities are well-received, a few reviewers suggest a need for more indoor activities.

A beautiful property, providing all modern comforts, guised in the facade of being rustic. Our stay was very relaxed and serene, thanks to the close-to-nature location (300 steps down to the banks of the Ganga) and setting of the hotel.
The kids loved the glasshouse dining room, the leisurely swings, the very gradual steps to traverse the property, which was a game in itself for our city brats. And the adults enjoyed the bonfire site and lovely room sit-outs for the most beautiful morning teas!
The rooms were equipped with kettles and tea, electric radiators, very fresh and clean linen, flowing hot water and surprisingly quick room service, given the landscape of the property.
The food was very good and staff very accommodating for children's food requirements. They connected us to a very efficient and accommodating agency for our rafting trip and it was superb!
Special mention to Bhim Singhji and the staff who ensured 5 star service with the charm of hill station, personalised hospitality.
You can easily choose a laid back vacation with books, tea, strolls in and around the property, or come back to the comfort of Neemrana while on a hectic Rishikesh trip.

I stayed at Himalayan hideaway for 3days ..there is lots to do like river rafting which the lodge organised through their company Himalayan river runners.like the river rafting trip the whole lodge is professionally run with a feel of a beautiful homestay with interaction with the manageress of the property ms.Tanya Tully who goes out of her way to ensure that all comforts are in order. The food was excellent. The staff is well trained and polite .The evening bonfire we really looked forward too and on a specially cold evening the fireplace in the dining hall was lit .The rooms are a delight as they overlook the Ganges and one can sleep to the lullaby of the sacred river and wake up to the sun shining on the Mountain the the forest opposite the property .The whole experience was truly blissful and enjoy able as ebven the afternoon lunches were organised in the forest with great flair...under the canopy of the sky and trees... thankyou for a wonderful amazing time and oh I forgot the breakfast drinks made from leaves of the forest and mixed with ginger,or tamarind,or aloevera ..were a potent decoctions made for the discerning and clients who are mature loving and environment friendly as the whole resort is against plastic etc and cutting of trees ..so the resort blends in beautifully with the flora and fauna ..All the best to the owners and congratulations on doing such a great job !!

Hello,
I wish to share our experience of our recent visit to Nimrana' Glass house by Ganges, Rishikesh. We were initially spectical about taking this trip considering the current pandemic situation however we were amazed to see the safety protocols followed at the property.

For one, it is not a very big property, secondly it is absolutely away from the hustle and bustle of the city, right in the middle of the jungle, not with many people around you. Cottages are also distantly placed with amazing green belt sperating one from other. To top it, rooms were sanitised with utmost care by the housekeeping staff.

Food was amazing and so was the hospitality of the staff.
Mr. Negi, Davinder ji, Aman ji and all others in the team were amazing hosts.
We also had a chance to meet the CEO of Neemrana group, Ms. Sonavi Kaicker, whose great hospitality skills confirmed the great culture of amazing hospitality we experienced.

Can't wait to visit this place again.

A most relaxing stay in very serene surroundings. The sound of the flowing river soothes tired minds and the clean air refreshes the body. Located right across the Rajaji wildlife preserve, birds abound here and you may be entertained to their chatter. Though it is located a little away from Rishikesh and takes a bit longer to get there, the calm and clean surroundings are well worth the extra drive. The river is a short hike down and the beach is quiet and the few times I went down during my stay, I had the place to myself. Perfect to sit and meditate or just watch the water flow by. The amenities provided are excellent. Kushal, the manager and his staff are very courteous and are ready to help. When I arrived, I was very jet lagged and tired. In all my travels around the world, I’ve never had a hotel manager call me at 8 pm and enquire if I had eaten anything and went ahead and sent some warm food over to my room so that I wouldn’t wake up hungry in the middle of the night. That’s the Neemrana culture that I cherish the most. There are opportunities for river rafting and the spa on location has excellent staff as well. A must go place to restore oneself.

Nestled in the lush forests at the foothills of the verdant Himalayas, next to the sparkling green waters of the Ganges (including a shimmering white beach!!), our family holiday (parents, my husband and I) at the Himalayan Hideaway Lodge surpassed all expectations and was the best choice to reconnect and revitalise. From the minute we entered the space to when we left, we felt so well looked after.

The rooms are elegant, clean, smell amazing(!!), with attention given to detail from the linen to the furniture & fittings lending warmth and a homely feeling to each of the rooms (not your cookie cutter type rooms). Our two rooms had a larger connected verandah with a stunning view of the mountains, forest and the river. The air is crisp, and the silence a welcoming sound- sometimes interrupted by birds and the Ganges :)

The staff was extremely attentive to our needs, knowing when to shower us with attention and when to leave us alone. The service was of a very high standard (hot water bottles put in our bed at night was such a lovely touch). The meals were delicious, wholesome, with thought put into each course. They even have their own veggie garden !!).
Apart from all the relaxing we had a myriad of activities to choose from - rafting, hikes around the area, yoga all run by professionals.

This boutique lodge is a haven for those seeking solace, wellness and comfort away from the daily hustle and bustle along with a bit of adventure! My family and I were so glad to be in a space that honours nature and it's surroundings, giving time and thought to a perfect holistic experience. Thank you to everyone at the Himalayan Hideaway for making our stay memorable! We will be back soon.

It was one of the most memorable trips ever. We were a group of 25 girls and stayed at this beautiful property for 5 nights.

We were taken care of very well by the entire staff. Me Pramod the manager, the chefs of Neemrana (Vineet and Vibhav) and the housekeeping and other staff (specially Devendra and Sudhir with whom we interacted the most) took care of the minutest of details to make our stay pleasurable. The food was great and curated to our liking.. The place is in the lap of nature with beautiful views of the Ganges. From getting our luggage to and from the rooms, cleaning, getting us delicious gulab jamuns even though they were not in their menu, cleaning of the yoga pavilion (which is so pretty) as and when we needed to supplying towels, everything was well arranged..

We would love to recommend this place to whoever willing to stay at an exclusive boutique hotel away from the crowds..

Neemrana Glass House has changed its location. We did not notice this on the website since the new address is very similar. The new, environment is completely different from the old. The earlier location was down by the river and had easy access to a very nice sandy beach. The new location is perched on a steep hillside with steps that are quite demanding to access various amenities and rooms, if you are older. In fact, the steps cannot be negotiated by those with walking disabilities. Access to the river is by a steep and slippery natural path. If you are driving yourself your car has to be parked on the roadside of the main highway. There are no long walking paths as the property is quite small in size. Having said this, the rooms are nice, the views of the river pleasant, the staff extremely helpful and excellent, and the food quite good. An evening high tea location and dinner with a bonfire allow you to meet with other guests if you should wish to do so.

The name says it all, a Hideaway amongst idyllic vistas of thick forests and blissful sounds of the River Ganges. The lodge infuses high voltage of soothing energy and one feels totally empowered. Ms. Tanya Tully the Manager takes care of every need : that one feels so relaxed & comfortable. She is very detailed and it shows up in the neatness, cleanliness of the property. The food is cooked to perfection by Chef Rana and a gastronomic delight that satisfies ones mind, body & spirit. We enjoyed every bit of the service offered from its welcome drink to the bonfires to Rafting (so safely manouvered by highly skilled Rafter Ranjeet, Himalayan Runner by Himalayan Hideaway) to having a heated room to return too with hot water bottles to add to the warmth. I highly endorse this property in Rishikesh, it takes one back to an slowly lost era of calmness, peace amidst in natural landscapes (no modern manicured gardens as most hotels have that their look similar) & feel is symbolized in the stones cottage with terracotta red stones floors overlooking the holy sounds & mystic views of the River Ganges. There is no other property like that in Rishikesh: a positive tonic for ones soul: you will be healed... Himalayan Hideaway speaks to your heart and Tanya Tully fullfills your Holiday with mesmerizing service along with her Team, who too are the heroes of this magical place....a wonderland developed by the owners, who have put lots of love in it

We checked in on the 30th Dec 2021 for a 3 night stay at Neemranas Glass house on the Ganges.
I must say that since the first day Neemranas hospitality was at its premium best. Their staff is so polite and well spoken.
We booked the Indian Roller room. Beautiful room with a clean bathroom , beautiful view of the Ganges.
Rite next to our room was the glass house resturant. It was the best place to have our breakfast lunch and dinner. Delicious food was served.
The river rafting experience was the best. None of the rafting companies in Rishikesh provide you with clean towels, wet suite or pick up and drop. All of these things are very important when you are soaked in after 26 kms of river rafting. Neemrana completely covered this for us.It was hassle free.
The 31st night we had a nice dinner at the fireplace with live music and delicious dinner spread.
I will definitely be coming back to Neemrana. FOR SURE. I would reccomend everyone that goes to Rishikesh to stay at this property atleast once. You won't be disappointed.

Cheers to Team Neemrana.

Neemrana is located away from the main city centre of Rishikesh. It has a gorgeous location, right above the Ganges river, which can be reached by a 200 metre descent. The rooms and property are very well maintained and give one a total sense of peace in the midst of nature.
We enjoyed the food and service was exceptional. They took great effort to check in on our needs and we appreciated it. The gentleman at the reception desk gives useful tips and recommendations to visit nearby tourist spots.

You can view the Ganges from a distance. To actually approach the Ganges, I believe you have to walk quite a distance.
Answer from Gaya3

The property has moved to a different location, still in the vicinity but slightly higher up in elevation. The property is still a short walk down to the water (access within the property). You still hear the rushing waters and some rooms have views of the river. Neemrana hospitality, quality and attention to detail are the same as the former location. I am told the “old” glasshouse is now being renovated to a property by another major hotel group.
