We did spend 3 nights in this beautiful location! We loved the cottages with outside shower. It was so nice and romantic to shower outside….. The food was really good and the location is the best in and around Kibale Forest. We felt part of the jungle and we will certainly return. Best regards, Bert van Vliet and family

I agree with jonesyp43 as I was one of the other males in the group. The location was good, but that is where it ends. Although I was one of the lucky ones with hot water and electricity, that was it. The food was at best average for Uganda. The place had a feel that is was on its last...

3 of us (all male) spent just over a week in Uganda in 7 different locations, & this was one of the poorest: no hot water, no sockets in the room.....& no electricity in the morning (a difficult start!!). Feels like they've just lost interest in it. Very average food, but very cheap. Struggling to find anything too nice to...

We stayed 2 nights in a bungalow. Chimps nest deserves a score of max 3 points. 1 point for the excellent location in the jungle. 1 point for the kind and friendly staff . 0,5 point for the cleanliness . 2 points are wasted on the quality of the accommodation, very basic huts with hardly any comfort. Moscito nets and...

There are so many other choices in the area and I urge people to choose one of them over this place, this review is long but worth a read.  We just stayed here and had issue after issue.  We decided on this place after our swamp trek and tried phoning ahead to make sure there was availability, no answer but...

the ladies were lovely; the room was 5min walk down hill from reception; we had a twin room; my friend had the single room. The size was the same; the size of the room was pretty limited for two people; there were no electricity plug in the room. The bathroom was an outdoors one; the water is heated by the...

The friendly staff and the gorgeous jungle made our stay here unforgettable. The quality of the rooms and food are amazing. It is a great place to unwind and just take in the sounds and sights of the rainforest.

We stayed two nights in one of the lodges. The lodges are located at the edge of the forest and the bath room is open air which is a nice experience (especially when a monkey comes to check you out). The lodges provide for a hot shower through fire. Main reason to stay here was the chimp tracking. It is...

I was a bit worried at being isolated in the park although the huts are really characterful. The shower and toilet facilities are open air so when it rained it was a first for me having to use the loo in my rain gear! there was a gecko in the toilet bowl when I arrived but the staff quickly came...

My friend and I stayed at Chimp’s Nest for two nights. We didn’t pay to see chimps because we’re students and we had to hold on to our budget. Without paying extra there isn’t much to do. You get one walk per day and you get to choose from Forest Walk (walk in the park during the day), Night Walk...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Chimps’ Nest is built on a beautiful piece of land with a splendid view of Kibale Forest and the snow capped peaks of the Rwenzori Mountains. As the name implies, Chimps’ Nest is often visited by chimps, but also other monkeys and habitats of Kibale Forest. It is a true birder's paradise; virtually all 350 bird species of Kibale Forest and the bordering Bigodi Swamps can be observed on the premises. ... more   less
