We are a senior couple, accustomed to up-scale accommodations, so quite pleased to find this remote "cabin" actually quite large and modern. It is very private, warm, clean & comfortable, including a well-equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, telephone, and even satellite TV. We could not have found a more superb location to view wilderness, wildlife, mountains, and stars at night....

Thank you so to Andrew and his family for his hospitality. We appreciate all the advice and our chats. You could simply book a flight ticket and book a place here without any research, and Andrew could fill in the rest. We were also very lucky as we had a good show right on our first night! If the aurora...

We're a party of two with accommodations at the Cranberry cottage for a winter stay in late February. We booked blindly with no expectations that go along with that. We have been blown away by the experience. The cranberry cottage is definitely the place to stay with panoramas of mountains by day and star fields better than I have ever...

Driving directly to your cabin at Sundog Retreat feels like arriving at your very own holiday home in the woods. Private, warm, and very comfortably furnished, you'll want to stay longer! The Aurora cabin (for northern lights viewing), sauna and hot tub are available for all guests, and the extensive property provides walking and snowshoeing options. Your hosts are just...

We came from Scotland to visit friends in Whitehorse in Feb 2014. One thing on the Yukon list was aurora so we all decided to book at Sundog for two nights. We stayed in Wolf Den which was cosy and well equipped. The highlight was watching stupendous aurora from the hot tub. Absolutely awesome. Good service and great facility. Top...

We stayed in Yukon for 2 nights and were lucky enough to be able to see the Aurora Borealis both nights! It was awesome! The hosts, Andrew and his family are the most hospitable people we have ever met; they made us feel sooo welcome. We stayed at the Cranberry Cabin and were able to see the lights while sitting...

We visited Sundog Retreat from Feb. 14-17th as a Valentine's vacation with the hopes of seeing Aurora Borealis in our time in Whitehorse. Although we weren't able to catch any northern lights, we were able to make the most of our trip thanks to our hosts, Andrew and Heather. Both worked tirelessly to arrange the itinerary and transport everyone to...

Seeing the northern lights was something that was on my bucket list and after some research and finding out that they tend to peak every 10-11 years, making the trip this year was a MUST for me! After researching and debating whether to go to Fairbanks, Alaska or Whitehorse, Canada, I emailed several resorts in both places and Sundog was...
