The outside look is very deceiving. We (a family of 5) got a room with kitchenette on the basement of the hotel. As soon as you enter the elevator, you can start to smell the strong freshener(not very pleasant smell, too strong for our liking). The basement looks creepy. The room, furnitures and everything inside the room are dated. WiFi...

Thanks for your comment. Our hotel was busy that night, and there were few remaining rooms left. The last ones to go are usually in the basement where we typically rent to long-term monthly guests. These rooms are of a lesser quality. We always offer potential guests the opportunity to view the room before they make a decision to rent...

I stayed at the Family Hotel in Whitehorse on August 31, 2016 and September 1, 2016. I left my towel in my room and left the hotel to see the city. Upon my return, I noticed that the cleaning lady ( A blond-ish Canadian) had been there and cleaned my room. I also noticed that my towel was not in...

We located your white hand towel. Please contact us and we can mail it back to you. It was very similar to our hotel's towels and got mixed in with hotel laundry inadvertently. As for the Wifi, there are no problems with the Wifi. The Wifi simply refreshes every 30 minutes and re-prompts guests for the password. The measure is...

The room was adequate, the bed comfortable. The hotel was easy to find and close to Tim Hortons, so great for a quick breakfast for the road. If you have children, supervise them in the shower because it's so powerful they might end up down the plug hole😉 The lady on front desk was very pleasant too when I asked...

Thank you for your honest review. We find many people abuse TripAdvisor and use it as a forum for revenge when unreasonable requests are declined. It is nice to see someone actually use the site for its intended purpose. We don't mind constructive criticism, but most of the other comments lack specifics. Thanks for your comment about water pressure. There...

My family "attempted" to stay here while driving from Fairbanks, AK to the lower 48. While we were there and within the first 5 minutes someone tried to break into my truck. Having witnessed that we went to the front counter to tell the attendant and he stated "well, we have cameras". Sorry, that is unacceptable. Tried to get our...

Let's be honest. There was no break-in or attempted break-in. We do have closed circuit cameras. You realized that there was enough sunlight to keep on driving to the next town, and wanted to keep on driving after already having a nap in the room, using the toilet, and taking a shower. You then claimed that your vehicle was broken...

I get laid everytime I stay here. Usually a good Tailgate party in the parking lot too. Highly recommended if u like authentic Yukon fun. Cabs swarm like sharks and Tim Hortons is 24 hours.... this is the good life

We got laid over in Whitehorse because our plane was delayed and we missed our connections. We booked at a different hotel, but there was a convention in town and we got booked into a full hotel and were moved to this one. Sketchy people, ugly rooms, there was a hole in the dry wall, the lamp shade was crooked...

We reserved a room and told them we would be late. We were informed no worries you have a reservation. They took all of the credit card info and again confirmed that we were set when we arrived. I arrived about 230 am and was ready to sleep from a long drive. However when I went inside I told the...

No rooms anywhere in town as Whitehorse was hosting a festival so this was the only place we could get Needs lots of tlc - dirty and old. CSI would have a field day with the ceiling stains. We were on the top floor, our neighbours returned to their rooms at 4.15 am very noisy so that was the end...

If you are an aspiring field reporter or general adventure-seeking gadabout, the showers here will be good training for experiencing a hurricane. I'm surprised how many bad reviews here, maybe I was lucky. New bed, new TV, free parking/internet/cable, and a clean room. Whitehorse hotels are not fancy. I had a better experience here than at the Westmark or Canada's...

We rented four rooms with my colleagues for work because the better hotels in town were all full. Customer service is below zero, their Internet service is extremely slow, and worst: no heating at all in the rooms. It is the 20th of September in Whitehorse and there is no heating!!. The rooms are very small and outdated. We asked...

There are several inaccuracies and extenuating circumstances not addressed in this review. On September 20th , there was a wind storm that resulted in a power and telecommunications outage in Whitehorse. The following link to a local newspaper article attests to that: http://www.whitehorsestar.com/archive/story/woes-began-with-a-toppled-tree-near-kulan/ Naturally, with power and telecommunications being out, this would impact heating systems and our internet service. These...
