Detailed Reviews
Room: Spacious. King size plus bed. Pillows were hard and made for poor sleep quality. Bathroom is also spacious. Cleaning and sanitation in room and bathroom appeared to be adequate although I found two long, dark hairs on the shower stall wall.
Self-serve breakfast: If the hotel would charge a little more and consequently spend more on breakfast food quality and selection that would be appreciated. There is no breakfast restaurant close to the hotel as an alternative to what the hotel provides. I stayed three nights in a two-week period and the breakfast was the same quality each morning: Poor. Coffee was warm plus but not hot. Thin slices of bread to toast. Packaged muffins; limp, tasteless potatoes; greasy, undercooked bacon. On a different day there were greasy sausages and limp, room temperature pancakes. Two of the three mornings what was supposed to be orange juice was water with a hint of orange flavor. On all three mornings multiple flies buzzed my table landing frequently. The hotel can’t prevent the flies from getting inside the building as the doors open automatically. But the breakfast room attendant can be supplied with spray repellent to make sure flies are less problematic.
Amenities: Bare bones.
Service/guest relations: Staff seems mostly to be made up of recent immigrants to Canada who are also new to the hospitality industry. It appears there has been little in the way of training for these people that teaches them how to deal with guests.
Overall: Because the hotel is new most people would find the accommodation to be better than satisfactory. Breakfast is poor. Management and most staff members repeatedly demonstrated lack of knowledge about how to function properly in a hospitality business when dealing with guests.

A brand new hotel. Friendly front desk staff. Utilitarian but comfortable room/bed. Disappointing breakfast - no continental offering as advertised. Instead a grab-n-go breakfast that was underwhelming at best. Minimal selection.

I arrived a little before check-in. I asked if it was possible to cech in early, told no. I said I had a rental car to drop and asked if the shuttle would be there. I was told no, that is only for when you fly. I explained that was why I was dropping the car, for a 6 am. flight the next morning, still no. Then she advised it would be twenty minutes for the room. I asked where the closet gas station was, and she said the Co-op. I saw it next door, so I thought it was perfect! I started to leave but went back and asked if I could at least leave my luggage. She said yes, but it was not offered. I went to the Co-op, no gasbar, however the staff was extremely friendly and gave me great directions.
I understand front desk staff sees a lot of people. However, they represent your brand, and in some ways, the city. Let's just say I dud not feel overly welcome and will not be rushing back. Shame, as it is a convenient location.

If you are looking for a clean and quiet hotel near the airport then this is the spot. It's the closest to the airport yet you don't hear any of the planes! Friendly staff greet you at check in and tell you if you need anything to just let them know. The room was spacious and exceptionally clean and I can honestly say that after staying in numerous hotels around the world this one rates in the top five! The bed was ultra comfortable, pillows perfect. Bathroom was large and included a hair dryer and there was a rain head shower in the tub. I had asked for a quiet room and it was and they offer free Wi-Fi and free breakfast. Ample parking and if flying out they offer a park and fly option if you wish to leave your vehicle there. I would definitely stay there again!

I am not one to write reviews, but I just can’t let this one go. I booked this hotel for my 21 yr old daughter who needed a place to crash for the night after a very late flight that got in at 2am. A couple of days before her stay, I emailed the hotel to confirm that they would have a shuttle running that late. They confirmed that all she had to do was call and they would send a black GMC to pick her up. This all sounded great. So my daughter gets off her flight, calls the hotel who tells her they will send the shuttle in 5 minutes. 30 minutes later, she is the last one left at the airport waiting for a ride in the cold, when a taxi driver asks if he can help. She tells him she is waiting for her shuttle from the Meridian, to which he tells her that they were supposed to tell her to take a Taxi and the hotel pays for it. So she finally gets to the hotel thanks to the kind taxi driver, checks in and is told that they don’t have her reservation ( that it was made for the wrong night.) The clerk tells my daughter she will have to charge the card for the night even though I had prepaid for the reservation. She finally gets a room, and opens the door to discover some bags in the hallway. Suddenly a man jumps out of the bed yelling at her. The room is already occupied!! At this point my daughter is a mess. She could not wait to get out of there the next morning! I emailed the hotel and sent proof of my prepaid confirmation showing that I had booked the correct date, so they did remove the double charge. I also emailed them my shock of the night’s events, but this was not even acknowledged.
For a brand new hotel this place is a disaster!! Take my advice and book somewhere else!

I really enjoy staying at the Meridian when I am in Regina. I am mostly here for business and this is always my top choice. The staff are friendly and the rates can’t be beat.
I think most other reviewers are forgetting this isn’t a high end hotel. It’s newer, clean and generally very quiet. As someone who has stayed at many of the hotels in Regina this still is one of my favourites.
The breakfast could be better, but it’s free. The times I have been here there is generally sausage or bacon, pre bagged pastries, apples, toast and yogurt with juice.
I find the beds comfy, the pillows are quite firm but I like that so it hasn’t bothered me.
The fans is the room are a little loud, so that may be bothersome for some.
If you haven’t I would definitely give the Meridian a
try!

We found this brand new hotel when searching for a place to stay as close to the airport as possible. With precious cargo to drop off at 4 am we wanted/needed to be close. We decided to try it out. It’s brand new so that was a delight. It’s pet friendly too! The floors aren’t carpeted in our room or the hallways which gives such a clean environment. (It’s less sound absorbing but a more sanitary option.)
Our checkin was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We ordered in from Olive Garden and our food was delivered within ten minutes as it’s just minutes away. Tim Horton’s is in walking distance and a brand new huge Coop grocery store next door. Harbour Landing shopping district is close and handy as well.
This will definitely be our go-to now!!

This hotel is in a great area with a multitude of walking trails and shops. The property is fairly new and very well appointed. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very disappointing - nothing like I've experienced at other chain hotels. The selection consisted of 2 hot items, yogurt and fruit. The coffee was average. A nice place to stay, but they need to up their game on the breakfast.

There is zero customer service at this hotel. When you walk up to the desk they are usually on the phone or sitting there, and when you ask them a question, they stare at you blankly. We had stayed there before, and asked about the heat in the room. It would not go down from 25 degrees celsius. When telling them the first time, they said to call the desk and someone will come down and help. So we called them and finally after waiting for an hour and a half we just called to cancel because we wanted to go to bed. There is absolutely no hospitality, the rooms are something like a motel somewhere, no windows that open, the decor was sparse to the point of seedy. Never will I stay here again!

After a long drive back to my home province to visit family and friends,I checked into this hotel , After checking in a friend of mine decided to come visit me,the front desk guy called my room within minutes of him getting to my room asking for his ID and he was Very rude !! I've never in my life been so upset, I will NEVER stay there again. Another thing they should deal with is the Marijuana smoke I was smelling in the hallway,DISGUSTING .
