Stayed overnight at the Hawood after a long day of biking. Obtained one last room with two double beds, three days before our stay. Although some general renovations such as new paint, and flat screen tvs have been added, the beds are older, the pillows and bedding not plush as you would expect in a pricier hotel that was essentially...

The Hawood Inn used to be the place to stay back in the day but now it's tired and outdated. We stayed for one night on the August long weekend. The positives: -clean -location is excellent -Keurig coffee maker in rooms The negatives: -Noisy -Beds not very comfortable -Rooms very sparsely decorated Overall, we would likely stay here in a...

Very poor policy they charge for a room if you have to cancel they keep one night charge, the gift certificate expires and is only good there so if you plan to stay there fight it stay somewhere else.

The restaurant is excellent. If you can get 6 or more people together, get the family meal. It is more food than you can imagine and everything is divine: original and fresh salads, melt-in-your-mouth roasted chicken, local pickerel, and exquisite dessert. They let us take the extras home and we ate for 2 days. The staff was exceptionally kind and...

Two queen beds with balcony one decent bed and one hard old bed. The clerk talked me out if the balcony facing the lake for the quieter back balcony. - ugly parking lot. I usually stay in the cabins - Bakers, Kapasawin or Armstrong. They are more rustic but what you would expect. I would expect a much nicer room....

We stayed for 4 nights at the Hawood Inn and had a lower level room. We had to complain many times about the noise as every time someone walked above you it was like they were coming thru the Floor. There is no sound barrier between the floor. The decor is outdated and we had a view of the back...

We stayed here in July, no elevator.. Room is advertised as lake view with a balcony, yet to see the lake you have to look past the busy street to catch a glimpse of water through a row of trees. The room wasn't cleaned everyday, when we complained we were told they were short staffed . We asked for an adjustment...

We've stayed at the Hawood each year for many years. It's a perfect location in the townsite, adjacent to the beach, and has a very popular restaurant that you could call "fine dining, northern style". We add the "northern" because you should treat your Waskesiu experience as a nature experience in a national park that displays the transition between parkland...

My husband and I go every winter, we always have stayed at the Hawood. We truly love this hotel and the service is always wonderful! However, this trip we noticed that the ceiling in the hallway was leaking so we put the ice bucket under it. Also, the toilet flushes weakly/must hold flusher down almost the whole time....sometimes you need...
