The place is set up very well in that the host family live...

There are four bedrooms on two floors with two baths, two kitchens, and two living rooms. The rooms are all very clean and decorated with an Asian contemporary look which is very soothing....

Christian and Lousie are fabulous. This alternative hostel is like a very large B&B. There was a kitchen upstairs we could have used. A fabulous breakfast with 3 types of fresh bread and other fun foods was fantastic. It was fabulous to come home in the evening and find a big bowl of fruit on the table. The beds were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Recommended by "Le guide du Routard" , L'Autre Auberge (the Other Inn) is a bed and breakfast that offers an alternative lodging service for people travelling alone, as a couple, or as a family. Whether you stay in a private or a family room, you will enjoy quality lodgings that are both wholesome and friendly and also learn about local economic development and respect for the environment. Our bed and breakfast offers environmental solutions (composting, gardening, water and energy saving measures, biodegradable cleaning products, etc.) And uses natural materials (100% cotton bedding and towels, wood floors, etc.). Located in the heart of Vieux-Limoilou where neighbourhood life is rich and lively, you can take advantage of many businesses, parks, and activities using greener means of transportation such as bicycles and buses. In short, L'Autre Auberge invites you to make it your second home and to come and meet Quebecers where they live. ... more   less
