i travel a lot for work and a decent place to stay is well-needed after long hours of work. even if this place saves you a few bucks, it´s not worth it. it´s absolutely disgusting. stains that i don't want to know what it is in the bathroom, hair in the bed and bathroom etc etc. i complained and the...

For a small fee ($8-10) this economical choice can include a pass to the LaCité Health Club on the roof with pool, fitness equipment, and a tennis court. This hotel is also attached to underground shopping and cinemas.

This is a good location for the Montreal Grand Prix; close to restaurants and subway. This is an older building that may need some touch ups but worth the money. Really good breakfast in the hotel basement

Convenient location in an interesting neighborhood. Clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds. Staff was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the parking is not convenient. Other than that it was excellent!!

The McGill new Rez has maintained most of what it was, from the time it was Hotel Renaissance. Well located, 10 minutes walk to the heart of downtown Montreal. Easy access to public transportation - metro and bus - mini mall with restaurants, dental clinic, cinema, convenient stores, florist... Why, out-of-towners can rent rooms on the upper floors. Very affordable😀....

Positives: Good price (100 CAD), comfy beds, large rooms, good location Negatives: In need of renovation, rude reception staff (apparently not understanding the concept keeping the client happy), average (at best) breakfast. We stayed there for a conference (in the same building), so very convenient and, as said before, good price. But apart from that, I would not choose this...

Ladies and gentlemen, I swear, this is something I have never seen before!! The hotel is dirty as hell almost everywhere, the staff at the front desk super rude (not everybody but almost), the wifi is a freaking NIGHTMARE comes and goes every 5 seconds and I've been struggling for all the time for calling home. The breakfast... No comment....

Less than 1 rating!!!! Staff was down rude when asked about helping with luggage onto floors that had no elevator access!!!! THEY DON'T LIFT ANYTHING TOO BAD, struggle yourself and if you hurt yourself too bad!!!! That on top of a sleepless night because ALL POWER IN BUILDING SHUT OFF AT 11:30 by power company...ALL FOR ENTIRE NIGHT!!! Once again...

This hotel serves as a University residence during the school year so the building is a little tired. It could use some paint here and there and the bathtub is not new (stains). Despite this the room was very clean, the bed and bedding very comfortable and new. Buffet breakfast and wifi are included. Located in downtown Montreal, very close...

The location was perfect for us. Walking distance to the hospital, restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops. The room was clean, updated and didn't hear guests in hallway or next door. Mind you we stayed during the week. The beds and pillows were comfy. Very friendly staff. There is no coffee maker in the room. Free breakfast included with your...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
