You can get better for the same price. Showers not cleaned, no toilet paper. Quite noisy. Pas terrible, même à ce prix-là on s'attend à mieux. Les salles de bain n'étaient pas propres, absence de papier de toilette. Les murs sont en carton.

Not a bad place to keep your stuff while sight seeing and other such. Location was pretty central to where we needed to be (one of the determining factors), and the price was pretty excellent ($150 for 2 nights and 3 days). I stayed in room 207 (top of the stairs). The neighborhood was a bit on the "sketchy" side,...

Awful. Absolutely awful, last month the room we stayed in was for 4 people. All of a sudden we get there and it is for 2 people. No notice, nothing at all. We get upstairs and the worker creepily knocks on the door and yells at us for the amount even though there was 1 person who was grabbing her...

We've been coming to Montreal since the 1970s. in those days I stayed at the Y on Drummond St. the Hotel Villa is a lot like that: don't expect amenities but you'll get a clean, comfortable room, very courteous staff, at the right price. The neighbourhood gets better every year. Although there are still a few seedy storefronts there are...

This hotel is great if you want visit Montreal and are on a tight budget. We spent two nights at the hotel Villa. It is very well situated on Sainte-Catherine Street and is easily accessible on foot, either from the greyhound bus station (on Berrie Street) or from the many metro stations. This is by far the best advantage of...

Yes, this is an incredible location for a relatively good price, and the bed and room were even clean. We were okay within the room itself. However, the hallways were disgusting, covered in dust as if they hadn't been vacuumed in years, and more importantly, we did not see one fire extinguisher or fire alarm that appeared to be up...

We booked this hotel because of its location. This hotel is a complete disaster! The bed was hard and uncomfortable, room was very small, dirty room! When we tried to take a shower the water turned brown so we used the public bathroom but the water was also brown! We couldn't sleep at night because of the noises coming from...

My cousin and I stayed at the beautiful Hotel Villa between aug 1-4 for Osheaga and it was a perfect place to sleep. The room was clean, cheap, and in a great location. The room they provided us with was comparable to a long hallway with a bed at the end of it. The hotel was nice enough to have...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
