This place is my ideal hotel experience. Simple, contemporary, understanded and welcoming. I stayed on the street side my first time there and although the street traffic was busy, the room was quiet enough. Not perfect, but good enough. My second time there was at the back overlooking the atrium. Nice and Quiet - near perfection for a busy downtown...

All the great reviews about this hotel are dead on! This hotel is very quaint but modern and in a great location. It was very close to everything we wanted to do. The room was very nicely furnished and extremely clean. The hotel has a nice restaurant downstairs with great pastries and breakfast. But, what really made this hotel such...

Staying at this hotel was a wonderful experience! The location is fantastic, easily able to walk to shopping, restaurants, pubs, attractions and just steps from the metro make it the perfect location for beginning your exploration of Montreal! The rooms where clean, beautifully decorated, and the staff where helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is in an old brown stone...

I stayed at this hotel with a friend and was very impressed by everything offered. I loved that it was a small hotel, with just 7 rooms, and our room was very clean and modern. With beautiful wood floors, huge windows, a very comfy bed, the shower with a rain shower head, and the in room magazines and espresso machine,...

This is a first. I am actually writing the review about 2.5 hours after I have arrived. Everything everybody says is true. I am travelling for business and was due to stay for 2 nights but it was cut short to 1 night. How disappointed am I? I am in room 302 - a suite - with a wonderful terrace...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Le Relais Lyonnais. It was a nice change from the typically large hotels. It was very comfortable and the owner couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We so enjoyed his restraurant next door that we ate all of our meals there. This is a must for people who want a change from the...

I booked this hotel for a romantic birthday getaway for my wife. After reading the reviews of the Le Relais Lyonnais, I decided that this was the place to take my lovely bride for her birthday. The hotel did not disappoint, Albert greeted us upon arrival and was there for our every need. Parking is available in underground parking around...

So helpful, so generous, Mr. albert, welcomed us after a long drive from Vermont, USA, to Montreal. Here in Montreal, a nice suite was waiting for us; the hotel provides free parking in the theatre building opposite the hotel; full breakfast at the coffee shop on the first floor of the hotel in which he is a partner. This is...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
