Room was clean and very quiet. A fairly good breakfast. Bed was comfortable. Staff were very helpful and gave us items for breakfast the night before when we had to leave prior to breakfast time on our last day at the hotel. However a bath mat and a tea towel in the room would have completed the package.

A small hotel but that was expected. Rooms tiny, but enough to keep the traveler comfortable. I stayed for 4 nights in August with my partner. I had a room with my own bathroom. The bathroom was only a tiny bit dirty when we arrived. (This is just being extra picky - it looked like there was some hair on...

My boyfriend and I came down for heavy mtl on the weekend and booked with this hotel. The staff was nice, and it had a sort of rustic feel to it. It is more of a hostel though, so of you want fancy and fluffy this isn't the place for you. There was also some hilarious decor that we took...

My boyfriend and I travelled to Montreal during the Canada Day holiday and visit the Jazz festival and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Keep in mind, the hotel is very small, and hallways are narrow, there is no elevator, so you will have to carry your own luggage to your room. The following highlights of our experience during...

We chose this hotel because it had pet friendly rooms, a great location, and reasonable prices. Pros: It is on Rue Saint-Denis, which has a variety of shops and restaurants. It is within walking distance of Old Montreal and close to some metro stations. The continental breakfast was simple but good. They had cheese croissants, which were much better than...

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel during a quick visit to Montreal and we really enjoyed our stay, but there are a few important tips I would give to future guests. Originally we had a room that did not have a personal washroom, which might be okay with some people however for an inexpensive $10 more we got...

What an amazing little bed and breakfast in the Quartier Latin neighrbourhood of Montreal. My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and we booked the budget room the day of. To begin, the hotel was extremely close to the central bus station, coming from the airport, and is a very central location to downtown Montreal. When I checked in I found to my surprise I'd been upgraded free of charge. Very pleasant. Nice clean bedroom with kitchen facilities, great bathroom facilities. Inclusive breakfast was great (continental). Helpful polite staff.

What a wild find, a place run by a woman and her daughter from Mexico City, on the traditionally very French heart of the Montreal cultural scene. My room - a two bedroom interesting angled place with high technology screens for tvs, halogen lights, and of course Mexican art on the walls, immediately put me in a different place than...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
