This BnB was the best we had ever stayed so far, thanks to the warm hospitality from Robert and Nathalie. They take care of little things like reserving a parking spot on the day you are scheduled to arrive, explaining the different areas of Montreal and best roads/trains to go see them and of course the cozy gourmet yet such...

This B&B was perfect for our stay in Montreal. It's tucked away on a quiet street, but is only one block from a metro station, multiple bike share stations, a supermarket, and Rue Sainte-Catherine with lots of stores, bars, and restaurants. You can also walk or bike to the downtown area and McGill (to give you an idea of distance,...

Located in the lively Latin Quarter of Montreal, in the heart of downtown and walking distance to just about everything awesome, this quaint bed and breakfast is a delightful home away from home. The rooms are clean and spacious, each with a unique, artsy decor; I stayed in the Ardente room, a sunny, inviting space painted in hues of red...

This hotel is quite the find, there is a real sense of welcome there and your hosts will do everything they can to please you. The hotel is really well located close to everything and a subway station. The room was great if not gigantic but very comfortable. As many have said here the breakfast is spectacular it is well...

The hosts are personable and helpful. The location is perfect for old town, restaurants, Mt Royale - whatever you want. The breakfast was delicious - dessert with breakfast - you can't go wrong. The rooms are simple and old like the neighborhood - full of charm and absolutely clean. And eat at nearby Confusion (a tapas restaurant in easy walking...

For those of us who seek out and cherish the B&B experience, we do so for these reasons: - to get a true indication and flavor of a place and its people. - to receive the personal and unique touch, perspective, and detail from your hosts and - to blend in as a local as much as possible. A l'adresse...

Upon arrival, Robert greeted us and made sure we were parked in a good spot for the weekend. Since the B&B is so close to downtown and the metro, we just left the car there until we departed. Robert then gave us maps, guide book, and spent a half hour orienting on the city, things to do, and places to...

To say this should be called a Breakfast and Bed is not to diminish the quaint setting and comfort of the rooms but is to emphasize how special breakfast is here. We would get up in the morning and have coffee on the shaded patio loft. from there we could smell breakfast in the making. Always something special with an...

My girlfriend and I have stayed here twice since summer 2010, and each time has been truly wonderful. You can't beat the location--literally a two-minute walk to Berri-UQAM Metro station that can take you anywhere you want to go in Montreal--and on a quiet and charming residential street. The house itself is full of character and the atmosphere is cozy...

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
