Often when my wife and I go away the debate is always about hotel vs.B&B. Now I don't think its fair to lump all B&B's together but I must say, when i come back to Montreal. I will never stay anywhere other then here. Bye Sheraton, Bye Hilton and Bye Westin you are all great places, but this is in...

The heritage victorian bread and breakfast is a fabulous place. The house and rooms are just amazing, restored to perfection.Dennis and Michael are excellent hosts. The breakfasts are fabulous every day. A hot omlet and lots of fruits and rolls. We stayed in one of the garden suites on the lower floor and it was wonderful. After spending the day...

We had a garden walkout room. It was spacious, warm and very comfortable. In addition to the large bedroom, there was a sitting area, with a 65" t.v., as well as a large and well appointment washroom with a great shower. The building is a wonderfully restored "Victorian." While it's a self-serve breakfast, there's always a hot main dish and...

Until very recently I had been staying in hotels whenever I visit Montreal. And I am a frequent visitor, averaging about four or five trips a year. This time I decided to stay in a B & B and based on the Tripadvisor reviews, decided to give this a go. It was a great experience. My room, an attic room...

I have had the opportunity to stay at this B and B twice now. If I have the chance to visit Montreal this is my first choice by far! Michael is so gracious and accommodating. This B and B is very clean, accessible to old town and downtown by foot and the breakfast is excellent and plentiful! If you are...

We were there coincidentally on Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, for three nights, so the city was quite busy. Only rooms left were the dormer rooms which are on the third floor. The room was surprisingly quiet considering the great location just around the corner from Rue St Denis which is an extremely popular area. After arriving by taxi we did not...

The Victorian Heritage B & B is a beautifully renovated Victorian home with all the modern amenities. It is located in the Latin Quarter, near downtown and Old Montreal, in an area frequented by students and young professionals. It is near many restaurants and clubs, as well as the Berri-UQAM Metro hub serving three lines. Denis and Michel prepared delicious...

This is a very lovely BnB right in the middle of the Latin Qtr.....Close to everything and walking distance to the metro, etc. Denis, Michele and Arturo were all wonderful, the rooms and public areas are very well done and completely enjoyable......even took a bath in the claw foot tub..... but mostly used the completely updated shower. Highly recommended! 😀

This is a great B&B, very conveniently located. It's very close to the main street, and about midway between the park and the old town. The room was comfortably sized with a well sized bathroom. The only complaint was the fan that blew constantly in our room, regardless of temperature setting. Breakfast was great with typical continental fare and an...

Just came back from Montreal and had an amazing time. This B&B is in a perfect location and Mr. Denis and Michel were the perfect hosts. Very close to the Metro and bus station to take you into the beautiful city. Definitely will keep them in mind when we go back.

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
