We enjoyed our stay at Le Cartier B & B. Room was nice, clean and good size with sitting room area. We had our own bathroom with large shower. There was a small kitchen which was always stocked with fresh pastry, bagel, bread and cereal as well as coffee (make it yourself) and teas. It was serve yourself which worked... More

A good and solid choice for a B&B in Montreal. Very close to Saint Catherine Street and within a brisk 30-min walk to the downtown tourist core of Montreal. We had one of the upstairs rooms, which was really a tiny suite with a small separate study (aka “dump your open bags” room) and a bedroom with two not-quite-queen beds.... More

This is my second stay at B&B Le Cartier and it won't be my last. It's comfortable and beyond convenient. A two minute walk to the Papineau metro station and right next to that is the Metro grocery store. Lots of places to eat nearby including the Lafayette diner which is about one minute away. However, it's on a quiet... More

As before we had a great room, kitchen to share for self serve breakfast, with many choices and excellent host, Richard. One of the best things is its proximity to the Metro, lovely outside garden to share with other guest, very quiet

Just spent a long weekend in Montreal and stayed at Le Cartier. The location is ideal - just 2 blocks from the Metro station and Rue St. Catherine with all of its bars and restaurants. Our second floor room had 2 double beds, a private bath and a second room set up as an office with a desk and mini... More

The reason I am giving one star is that I could not sleep properly even one night out of 6 nights I stayed there. You may ask why? Rooms are closely located to the kitchen where is naturally very noisy in the morning. Even worse, the housekeeper usually turns up at 7 am, shutting the main door negligently while whistling... LeCartier, Manager at B&B Le Cartier, responded to this review

We have already responded to the same review posted on Google business while ago. We will repeat what we have explained. 1. There are only two suites in your section with private entrance and common kitchenette. Host area and other guest sections are completely separate. Unlikely typical B&B, our place is designed for optimal privacy with completely independent sections. 2.... More

Perfection in a small B&B. Hospitality, location, decor, cleanliness, price. Could not ask for anything more. Late arrival, their neighbor went out of his way to be there and take time to give Us info to get started for our visit to Montreal.

This was a very modern and comfortable place to stay. My friend and I were quite comfortable. Richard, the owner, was very welcoming and happy to give a lay of the land and highlights of Montreal when we arrived. The B and B was very clean and quiet and the location was right near the Metro and blocks from the... More

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
