I had a lovely stay with Akiko. She is very sweet and helpful. The B&B has nice rooms, a nice breakfast and it's very close to Museums and Old Montreal. There is a bike rental station right across the street and the subway station is a 2 minutes walk away. Recommended if you're looking for this type of accomodation instead...

We had a lovely stay at La Petite Prune. Akiko was a wonderful host and the inn was beautiful. The coffee, home made jams and scones...delicious! The B & B has a excellent location in down town Montreal while still being on a quiet street for a peaceful/quiet night's sleep. Wonderful!

Based solely on the reviews this may seem like a 5 star hotel at a minimal fraction of its price, but the truth is that you get what you pay ... Do not get me wrong: this B&B is clean, nice and charming ... but not as impressive as other reviewers have stated ... It is located centrally and ideally...

Thank you for staying at La Petite Prune. I appreciate your honest opinion. It will be useful for others. Yes, it is not a 5 star hotel, Most rooms don't have a private bathroom and breakfast menu offers a limited choice (but mostly homemade). There are things that big hotels can do but small B&B's like us cannot, and vice...

Our long-weekend stay at La Petite Prune was truly wonderful. Akiko was a delightful and dedicated host, genuinely committed to making our stay as pleasant as possible. She was willing to have our room ready earlier than the normal check-in time so that we could drop off our bags before a tour of the city and accommodated our needs with...

My GF and I visited Montreal in December 2013. The whole vibe at La Petite Prune is perfect; clean, safe, warm and in a great location. Akiko is an amazing host who is always happy to answer any questions about places to go and things to see around the city, and the breakfast she prepared everyday was out of this...

I cannot honestly imagine why you would want to stay anywhere else. The bedroom was perfect, OK the bathroom was across the hallway but we didn't share, it was for our sole use. Breakfast was excellent, fresh home baking everyday. The situation is perfect for exploring Montreal, it is close to the subway and cheap secure parking. Excellent restaurants in...

I stayed 8 nights in La Petite Prune and I really enjoyed every day. Shops and restaurants are around the corner, and Metro station Sherbrooke is a 3-5 minutes walk away. Avenue Laval is a pretty, calm and safe street. The rooms are bright and friendly, and everything is clean and nicely decorated. Akiko is a great hostess, and I...

I am sorry that you were expecting something else. I wish you had read the room description carefully before you booked. I am not sure why you thought you paid for a room with 2 beds but the reservation was made for a room with 1 double bed (there was a picture on the confirmation letter you showed me too)...

Staying in Le Plateau Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Plateau Mont-Royal
Go native in Plateau Mont-Royal, where bespoke shopping, hip eateries, and wacky paint jobs attract locals and transplants alike, making it one of the city's most diverse and distinctly authentic experiences. A creative hub, Montreal's artistic elite pack the cafes along Rue Saint-Denis, where young painters and fashion designers draw inspiration from the playful murals and stately Victorian homes that dot the Plateau's side streets. Not a major sightseeing destination, a visit to Plateau Mont-Royal allows you to enjoy a local perspective, soaking in indie films, latte art, contemporary galleries, and the city's best bagels. A center of polyglot culture, Québécois accents mingle with shades of Portuguese, Greek, and Hebrew in the area's iconic Mile End district, where restaurants straddle chic designer boutiques, serving up chorizo and caldo verde. Friendliest to those on foot, it's a jungle of colourful awnings and sidewalk umbrellas, pedestrian walks and luxury shopping.
