I have been going to Pomerol for probably 8 years now. It is my go-to place when looking to stay in Montreal. This place has charm, smaller room but who cares... I don't spend that much time in my room anyways. Staff is friendly and the location is perfect: subway across the street, St-Denis is one block away and the... More

The location is one of the best one can have, right in downtown Montréal, St-Denis-Street is just a jump away. The concierge was very friendly and helpful but not too pushy. The rooms are comparatively small, but you will find all what you need. Our room had also a big jacuzzi working perfectly and the little breakfast baskets were a... More

Very nice place. Nice concierge. Rooms are small but very cozy and smart. The weather was very cold (-10C) so the rapid response of the heaters was great. The rooms are different so check carefully the descriptions and call them if you want something in particular. Breakfast was cool! Yoghurt, clementines, muffins, croissants with butter and jam, cheese, milk for... More

Having been an innkeeper myself for twenty years, I judge a property with a critical eye. This little gem is well located for shopping, arts, and exploring much of new and old Montreal. Our room was well appointed, good beds and linens, plenty of towels and amenities. Impressive credentials including their efforts to be responsibly Green. The breakfast basket was... More

To be honest- I actually loved my stay in this hotel apart from my experience with day receptionist named Jessica. A couple of hours before our checkout we came to know we had a death in our family. We had plans to go to Mount Trembalnt but cancelled everything to head back home. I requested Jessica to give us a... More

First time staying in Montreal, we booked this hotel for 2 nights over a long weekend. The room was small, but warmly decorated and clean. The best part was the breakfast that came each morning in a cute wicker basket. We loved Montreal and will definitely be staying here when we're in town.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel recently, to meet up with relatives who were in Montreal for a sporting event and were staying around the corner at another hotel. This was by far the better choice of hotel! This is a charming hotel in the tradition of small European hotels. Our room was clean and well kept and... More

First time staying in Montreal and this hotel was great. Room was small but had everything we wanted and was furnished beautifully, very modern décor. Breakfast basket was nice and staff was great. Right across from the subway so easy to get around to different tourist attractions.

It is this kind of small hotels where you have everything. Everyone from the staff was very welcoming and we instantlly felt like at home. Our bedroom was very small but you find everything you need. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean as well. The most special thing is that since they have got a... More

Staying in The Village (Gay Village)

Neighbourhood Profile
The Village (Gay Village)
The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
