Very good spot Close to Downtown, Old Montreal and most Nightclubs. The staff at the checkin was not very nice. Just asked for the ID but didn't explain anything. He wouldn't have mentioned Wifi if I hadn't asked him. However, the staff at checkout was very friendly!

If you're expecting anything else, you’re sure to be disappointed....The added price for parking still made the hotel rate a bargain. Breakfast was too scanty and tasteless--choice of a dry croissant or muffin (which was microwaved by a worker behind the counter), coffee, tea. You’re better off enjoying the choice of eateries right outside the hotel, like Cafe Starbucks across...

The hotel had a few good points, walking distance to the old city, Metro stop within a block, plenty of restaurants and paid parking in the library lot on the next block. The room was clean and quiet, however overcrowded with furniture and a queen bed. The door to the bath would not open all the way. We were on...

While in Montreal I stopped into this hotel and booked two nights for three weeks later. I discovered that I would not be able to return to Montreal on those dates, and 24 hours later I returned and asked for a credit card refund of the $160. that I had paid the day before. Raj, the hotel clerk, said that...

I was a little apprehensive after reading some reviews but I'm pleased to say I enjoyed my stay here. My friend and I were looking for a nice cheap hotel in Montreal for the weekend and that's exactly what we got. Biggest pro is the location, you can't get any better than here if you're looking to be close to...

Don't expect Ritz-Carlton standard because that is not what you are paying for. Price wise is a little more than a dorm. However you get your own private room, AC, hot & cold shower & bath, clean towels everyday and VERY STRONG Wi-Fi thoughout. Free breakfast daily - awesome muffins and croissants. Front desk staff were all very helpful. I...

Very regular looking hotel, it was the perfect location for us, the room was quiet but the a/c was full on, too cold!!! Iffy people. Nice thing, you have plenty of bars and restaurants around, don't bother eating breakfast there, is not worth it

We did not feel welcome in this hotel where service was minimal. Breakfast was included, but extremely limited (do not dare asking for more!). Location is great, though, and close to the "Vieux-Montréal" and not to fare from Mont-Royal. Wifi was very slow.

- Very unpleasant and unhelpful clerks. For any information, the reply would be "do it yourself, you've got internet in your room". - more than basic breakfast : transparent coffee and supermarket croissants or muffins. Everything in a underground small room with no window. - crazy A/C system blowing onto you 20 knots cold wind whatever is the temperature outside....

Having stayed here in 2005, I had no hesitation booking again hen I wen to the Grand Prix again this year. The location amid the restaurants and bars or Rue St Denis within a five minute walk to the Metro hub of Berri Uqam is perfect for getting around the City. The amenities are basic but all you need, En...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
