When we drove up to this hotel I was a little put off by the facade, however we were wrong. Our room on the first floor was spotless and roomy, not at all what you would expect by the look of the building. Our bathroom was immaculate. The staff friendly and helpful. The wooden floors were a lovely change from...

We stayed at St-Denis for 5 nights and they upgraded our room to a suite which was nice. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and helpful. They had a garage around the corner if you needed a place to park ($16/day.) A cool-looking lounge in the basement with TV and microwave to sit and hang out, and lockers if...

Right near the university, street is vibrant and the nightlife is alive on Rue St. Denis with restaurants and bars. The metro is only a block away and you can walk to old town from here. The room was very spacious with 2 double beds and a couch. There was high ceilings and a very nice bathroom.

Best part is the location; a couple blocks from a barrage of great restaurants, a half dozen blocks from the port, a half dozen blocks from downtown, one block to the subway. Hospital is one block east, if you happen to need that. We took a taxi from the VIA Rail station, but walked back to it when we left....

We arrived before the 3pm check-in time, but because our room was ready we were allowed to check-in early. Maude was the sweet and highly efficient clerk at the front desk that quickly provided us with keys, map, and everything we would need for our quick weekend trip, including the name of a place that made the best poutine ever!...

great location, right near both subway lines & bus to airport, as well as at the crossroads of several popular districts in montreal. staff very nice. room spacious & clean, window air conditioner unit was effective. GOOD free wifi. decent rate. the decor was plain/unattractive (not a styled room, just old-ish plain furniture), but that's just a visual thing. all...

This was our second stay here. We love the easy access to the Metro, St. Catherine street, and the friendly staff. Having access to a refrig. is a nice touch. If you're on a budget, excellent grocery store in walking distance. For the money, well worth it!

Hotel nicely located . Good value for money. Staff friendly and efficient. Room large with wood floor. Only one flaw, the room was on the first floor looking onto the steet and it was quite noisy during the night it sounded like the window was open. A short investigation revealed that the noise was coming through the airconditioning equipment mounted...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
