We stayed and this gorgeous hotel for 3 nights in April 2014, and boy was is hard to go home! Not only was the facility visually delightful (you must check out the “bibliotheque” off the main entrance), but it was also very comfortable and the service was outstanding. We had a suite on floor ten, and it had a powder...

We stayed at the St. James for four nights at the end of April 2014. The location in Old Montreal was convenient to everything. We walked everywhere and didn't see our car again until we checked out. We were absolutely delighted with this beautiful hotel. The service was first rate, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. The hotel...

For your next trip to Montreal, look no further than this incredibly beautiful property in Old Montreal. Just minutes from downtown with the BEST Customer Service around. I travel to Montreal monthly for 3 nights and there is no other place to stay. The bedding, pillows, towels, spa and XO restaurant are all fabulous. I had the most incredible massage...

These type of old fashioned hotels are not really my cup of tea. However, the rooms are clean including the carpet, the bathroom is nice and the service is great. They have no Nespresso machines in the room and the Cappuccino I have ordered was undrinkable.

This is a great hotel with a wonderful spa and nice rooms. It's location is charming and allows easy access to most parts of the city—I walked everywhere even in the cold weather. The hotel's public spaces have been renovated since I last stayed here and they're not really my taste, but they're fun and seem distinctly Montreal: an unusual...

Hotel is small boutique size located in old Montreal. Staff is world class. Probably best service ever. Hotel itself is gorgeous and spa experience was like no other. It is a must stay and will definitely return.

I just returned from a weekend in Montreal, staying at Le St-James and I couldn't have asked for anything more. The room was superb, the staff was beyond friendly and helpful without being pretentious. We did have a problem with our TV and they quickly, and gladly upgraded us to a new room which was even more fantastic. The city...

Hard to explain how great this place is. My room was beautiful, had a great view, bed was super comfy, and whole hotel was really clean. Location is key and this is the area where you want to be. I just can't say enough about this place. Lots of stuff yo do, if you ever leave the hotel :)

This is a quintessential Old Montreal boutique hotel. Unfortunately we had a room that was directly above the front door which opens electronically every 10 seconds or so. It definitely detracted from our stay. The spa, though, is spectacular. Having a massage in the spa with it's original stone walls and candles everywhere is truly amazing. Loved it.

I booked this hotel for a two night stay to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was on St. Jacques street, in Old Montreal. It was in easy walking distance to Notre-Dame Basilica, and all of the great old montreal touristy things. We were able to walk to most everywhere, and not get cold (it was a February trip). The restaurant...

Staying in Quartier International

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier International
Designed to connect and beautify unused space, today the Quartier International is like a transversal piece of modern art. The distinctive design flair is most apparent at its focal point, the Palais des Congres, a convention centre and retail space with a multi-coloured glass exterior and an equally bold interior motif. Outdoors too, the Quartier is friendly towards public art exhibits along its stylish, plotted city squares, with extra-wide sidewalks meant to encourage long strolls and shaded benches available for absorbing the atmosphere. Fresh air and promenades characterise the area, from the foliage of Victoria Square to the fountain of Place Jean-Paul Riopelle, while the restaurants along Rue Saint-Antonie Ouest and Metro stops modeled in the Parisian style give off European glamour.
