this is a lovely hotel with great rooms and nice people. a great restaurant on site and a great location. 5 stars for comfort and kindness. Look down to the review that starts with 'Wait! Don't take your suitcases inside until you know which part of the hotel you are in". The annex is across the street and is lots...

Thank you for your positive review! Unfortunately our buildings have 3 and 4 floors without any elevators. The staff is happy to assist with suitcases but for guests with limited mobility, its best to ask for a ground floor room in the annex. Thanks again for your feedback!

I arrived at Montreal by Orleans Express coach from Quebec, didn't know the drop-off terminal was so close to this hotel. So I took a taxi, just CAD6. I think a kind and honest taxi driver might have reminded me the short distance. I booked the room via agoda which in turn via booking.com. Upon arrival, I had to wait...

Thank you for your positive review! We do pride ourselves on offering exceptional value for a considerably low price. We find our guests mostly appreciate our efficient clean rooms, LED TVs with great HD channels, high speed free WIFI and great buffet breakfast in our restaurant for a fraction of the price of other hotels in our great neighborhood. Look...

We stayed for two nights midweek and had a pleasant experience. It's pretty nice although could do with a bit of care. The best thing about the hotel is the price and location. Just 10 minutes from Avenue Mont Royal (a must for breakfast and stroll around the colourfully decorated side streets) and 10 minutes in the opposite direction is...

Thank you for your review! We are constantly working on improving our property and offering our guests additional services. You are correct in saying that for the price and location, you will not likely find a better quality hotel. Thanks again!

.....until you have verified which part of the hotel you are staying in. Pros The room we had was fairly spacious, clean and comfortable - had all the amenities we needed. Ensuite was adequate. Breakfast was tasty and good value. Hotel location was good for the metro to get into the city centre We were one of the lucky 3...

Thank you for your review. We are constantly working on ways to minimize the noise with carpets and additional isolation. We try to be very upfront with our guests before they book that there is no elevator so if stairs are an issue, its always best to ask for a ground floor room in our annex. Thanks again and hope...

Great location, nice room little small and dated, A/C was a bit shaky, but I would come back to this location. Walking distance to downtown. Not many stores near by but within a few blocks. Looks like a vintage hotel

Thank you for your review. We have a number of different room types. Usually for an extra $10 a day you can upgrade to a considerably larger room. St-Denis Street is 3 blocks east of us and features tons of shops! Thank you for the notice regarding the AC. It has been replaced since.

Reviewed 2 September 2016

We booked the hotel for 2 nights, which were great! Points for location (really close to Sherbroke Stn), cleanliness, also good breakfast. Small and cute rooms, AC was not working properly on the first night, they changed the next day tho! Accessibility whithin the premisses quite compromised due to the big set of stairs at the entrance.

Thank you for your review. I am happy to read you enjoyed the cleanliness of our rooms and the breakfast in our restaurant. The stairs are a common issue but if mobility is an issue, you may request a room on the ground floor of the annex. Thanks again for taking the time to write!

We booked the hotel based on its location and a great location it is!!! Very basic smaller rooms! We ended up being put into the hotel across the road which wasnt as nice as the main part! Very friendly staff and car parking is okay!

Thank you for your review. If you decide to stay with us another time, we recommend an executive room or higher for longer stays. These rooms are much more spacious than the budget and standard rooms and cost only a little more per night. Thanks again for sharing your feedback.

We stayed in the Annex at Hotel de Paris as part of our Canadian tour. The hotel is located close to one of the main roads in Montreal which has lots of lovely pubs and restaurants, and takes about half an hour to walk to the sea front. Our hotel room was really clean, and we had a fridge. The...

Location was the only thing I liked about this place as it was very central and accessible to different attractions that we either walked to, or paid $6-7 for uber. Hello Amir T. Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read your stay did not live up to your expectations. I think some information wasn't properly conveyed to you that would have resolved a lot of your issues. If you're into walking up stairs, again and again, then this hotel is for you. Front steps to get in. Steps on old, worn carpeting to your room (if you're not one of the lucky ones to get a room on the first floor), then, we opened the door to our room et voila! Yet another set of winding steps...

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
