This hotel was the highlight of our trip to Eastern Canada. I received a good rate by calling the hotel directly, but then I received a Travelzoo VIP offer that included free breakfast and an upgraded room. I called and spoke to Asst Office Mgr, Andre Guite, and although he couldn't provide us with the free breakfast offer, he did... More

This is the second time we have come to Le Saint-Suplice for a romantic get-away. Each time we have had an overall great experience. Very welcoming staff, very informed concierge, great location, and beautiful room. We took advantage of the gym down the street - small but well appointed, and the spa just a block away. Got a nice discount... More

Great location in Old Montreal in an area with cobblestone streets and many historical buildings. Lots of restaurants, art galleries and original shops and restaurants within walking distance. All hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and classy. The eco bamboo towels were very nice and soft. I would definitely recommend this very nice boutique hotel!

My husband and I booked a weekend getaway at this Old Montreal hotel and loved the location. It's just steps from the Notre-Dame Basilica and within walking distance of lots of great restaurants. The front desk service was excellent (we had to reschedule our stay twice) and we were upgraded to a deluxe suite. We were impressed with the room... More

I got a good deal on this hotel via Jetsetter & had a great stay - staff were friendly and helpful, location was great & the suite was large & very comfortable. Restaurant was good. Wifi free & strong. Shower disappointing - held in place by duct tape. All in all, would recommend.

We stayed at the hotel for five days and celebrated the New Years Even 2013. Great location in the heart of the historic district - very walkable. Hotel reminds me of the small European hotel. A gem of a hotel in Old Montreal located just behind the Notre Dame Basilica. Service was great, and the room was outstanding. It included a small kitchenette. The bed was comfortable. Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
