We just spent two nights at this hotel and it was PERFECT. Well priced, very clean and chic, and its in the most perfect location. The staff is all incredibly helpful, and very nice and professional. I highly recommend this hotel.

This upscale, modern, beautiful boutique hotel right in the middle of the old quarter is a real find. It's a block from the basilica and around the corner from a wonderful strip of restaurants and cafes. Close to the harbor. Yet just a few blocks from the metro so you can get anywhere in Montreal without having to drive. Highly...

We stayed at le Saint Sulpice for two nights in December, and were pleased with the entire experience. The hotel is beautiful and elegant, with modern and sizeable rooms. We had two adults and two kids, and didn't feel cramped at all. Also, the location of the hotel is perfect, literally next door to Notre Dame de Montreal, and situated...

I stayed at the saint suplice after Christmas and it was an amazing loft suite. The stone wall which was a couple of 100 years old was amazing along with the balcony overlooking the street. It is located in the heart of old Montreal. Pros: Amazing room Nice lobby Great location Cons: A swimming pool would have been nice. Expensive...

Spent three nights with a family of 5 - two young adults and a late teen - some call it "forced family fun." Easy here. Valet parking. Walking distance to all the sights and shopping. Steps from Notre Dame Cathedral. Old Montreal is charming and staying in the heart of it is the right choice. Rooms surprisingly spacious. Going from...

My wife and I recently spent two days at the Sainte Sulpice in old Montreal as a part of a vacation trip to Quebec Provence. It is most conveniently located in the delightful old Montreal area just down from the Notre Dame Cathedral and convenient walking distance to the river, old port and all old Montreal sites. While an old...

All around trendy hotel good for all purposes. Personally was on business but talked to few couples that were on romantic gateways and all were very thrilled with the quality of the service! The staff was extremely helpful in helping find my way around. The prices are somewhat cheaper for what I would have paid in NYC.

Stayed for four days over thanksgiving and it was perfect; extremely roomy, clean and lovely suite. Everyone at the hotel was helpful and acommodating which made the stay even more enjoyable. I lost my necklace down the sink drain and no joke within ten minutes someone was rescuing it for me, perfect!

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
