Vine at 200$ a bottle. Beer at 15$ each. Not my style. Many hotels in Montreal could receive you at a way better price and the same kind of service. First and last time there. Well located in Old Montreal. Add 32$ for your parking.

We decided to not do the traditional Thanksgiving and went to Montreal instead. When we told some friends about it just a week before we went, they decided to join us and booked this hotel, as well. The rooms were good and clean, and our friends got one of the suites with a fireplace that turned out to be very...

Excellent location in old Montreal and close to everything including metro to downtown. We travel to Montreal about 8-10 times per year and trying to find the best spot for the family. This hotel meets our needs but could be better with some renovations to their 2 bedroom suite. Don't get me wrong, this is a great hotel, great location...

If you are looking for a hotel in Montreal, look no further! I've done the homework for you. From a list I made of about two dozen properties in Old Montreal, I read the reviews, looked at the amenities and even emailed some hotels if I had questions. It was initially hard to narrow down since many reviewers are very...

This hotel was adorable. Everyone was very kind the rooms were very spacious and clean. The location was great, right behind the Notre Dame Church, close to restaurant, shops and a short walk to downtown Montreal. I would definitely stay here again.

You will love the hotel from the moment you walk in. Friendly staff, Beautiful and spacious room, comfortable bed. It is not a huge hotel but it is charming. The most important fact for me was that it was extremely clean. It is on the same street as the cathedral and walking distance from everything.

Arrived at hotel after a fantastic cruise from Boston to Montreal. A beautiful old but well appointed hotel directly behind Notre Dame Basilica. Located on the edge of the touristy old town, but very accessible to the new Montreal. Our room was quiet large, good lounge area, kitchenette and comfortable bed. Staff were always very helpful and accommodating. We had...

The staff was all friendly and helpful, especially the Valets. Parking is in the basement and convenient. The parking fee of $32 for two nights seemed a bit steep for an off season guest, but our room fare was a very good value, so it balances out I guess. We didn't take advantage of the bar or restaurant, with so...

Dear DOUGLAS G, Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your last stay at the Saint-Sulpice. The Nespresso coffee in all of our suites is offered complimentary. I am sorry that wasn't clear. We were so close to a perfect stay! Looking forward to your next stay. Sincerely, Yanick B.

We had the most beautiful room at the Saint Sulpice for our girls getaway but it would be wonderful for a couple or family too. Possibly my favorite hotel I've ever stayed at. The bed was so lovely I actually slept well in a hotel. The room was large, we used the fireplace every evening and the staff was amazing....

This hotel is located right next to Notre Dame. There are many shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Our family got a suite that feature 2 pull out beds and a private bedroom within the suite. The bathroom was big and offered very high end toiletries. I would definitely recommend staying...

Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
