It was clean, and quiet in room 1007. Two things I did not like was how you operated the lights, and the heat. The people were friendly. The breakfast was pretty good. The hotel was 2 blocks from metro, and Gibby's restaurant.

We bought the junior suite package on Tuango. The room was not wow but very nice. For the price we had a perfect sleep night and a more than correct buffet breakfast. Very surprised by the fantastic room service dinner ordered at the Hambar. For a intimate gastronomic experience, try it ! Old Montreal is a nice place to walk...

Absolutely one of my favourite spots to stay in Montréal. The place has a cool modern vibe, nice rooms and sits right on the edge of Old Montréal. As a bonus, Gibbys is right around the corner. The restaurant in the hotel is also quite good.

My husband and I were greeted warmly by the concierge and the rest of our stay flowed from there. The location is fantastic, right at the entrance to Old Montreal, as advertised. To us, the room reminded us of hotels where we stayed in Europe. The room was relatively small, but chic and contemporary. The breakfast had an excellent selection...

Polite and friendly staff, a nice medium size hotel with a welcoming trendy fire where you can warm yourself from the frightening Montreal winter. Modern spacious rooms, not quite pristine five star but still very good. Very quiet on the eighth floor, perfect sleep. Strangely luxurious towels. Sensible and flexible environmental policies. Free wifi works well for casual surfing. Good...

But for the price, there are more to choose from. That being said, it's fairly clean. The mini bar is always well stocked. The wifi is pretty good and the breakfast is decent. It's in a good location near the old port so you can be sure you are in walking distance of a lot of interesting sights and shops....

The whole atmosphere of the hotel is chic, elegant and stylish while still being very friendly and welcoming. We loved the groovy lighting and contemporary details. The location was perfect for us - right in the old part of Montreal, but only a short walk to the subway and underground city. The staff were very helpful, polite and generous with...

Enjoyed our stay at Hotel St Paul. Boutique hotel that is supposed to feel euro-chic, but just feels sparse. For this reason I'm glad I did not pay regular price but used Travelzoo promotion. Location is GREAT, on edge of old city and very short walk to a metro station--we were able to get everywhere easily (buy the 3 day...

Beautiful hotel from the outside looks a little stark on the inside but the warmth of the staff quickly overcomes. We are a family of 4 and shared one twin 'queen' bedded room on the 10th floor which was comfortable although the beds were a little small for two adults. Staying in Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)

Neighbourhood Profile
Vieux-Montreal (Old Montreal)
The historic centre of Montreal, Vieux-Port is home to some of the city's most antiquated buildings and picturesque streets. Along the waters of the St. Lawrence River, the bank of Old Port features museums, festivals, food stalls, and outdoor athletics, a celebrated part of the city that explodes into fireworks displays on warm summer nights. At its centre, street performers and artists compete with sprawling restaurant terraces for space along Jacques-Cartier Square, while the cobbled streets of Rue St. Paul and Rue Notre-Dame offer a reprieve of quiet galleries and atmospheric wine bars. Horse-drawn carriages are not an uncommon part of traffic, and the narrows they traverse are lined with boutiques, crêperies, and poutine shops enshrined in buildings of stone and wooden lattices. Here you can evoke Montreal's past with a traditional cooking lesson or historical tour, then enjoy its artistic present with live music and theatre.
