Feb 25/26 we stayed 2 nights at this beautiful B&B. Our hosts Carolle and Francois were excellent. They were very welcoming and helpful with parking, restaurant recommendations and anything we needed, as well as being 2 very lovely people. We nejoyed meeting them and getting to know them a little bit. The whole place has been updated and renovated but... More

We had a lovely overnight stay in Montreal. The Inn was absolutely spotless in a lovely area of Montreal. Our hosts,Francois and Carol, have lovingly restored the Inn and have put there heart and soul into the place.Breakfast was a never-ending delicious affair of fine local foods. We totally enjoyed our stay!

My boyfriend and I stayed at this cozy B & B during our first trip to Montreal and it was just impeccable. It has great location about a 10-20mins walk to the city center, easy to locate and accessible bus/subway. The room we were in was small but cozy, the bathroom was good size though and everything was spotless. What... More

We stayed at Carolle and Francois during Formula 1 in May 2011. The place is great. It's clean, well equipped, the breakfast is amazing and the hosts are very, very nice. The location is amazing too. It's walking distance to downtown Montreal. You don't need a car when you stay there. I would go back for sure! Beata

My wife and I prefer to stay in smaller establishments when we travel, both to get a better feel for the city and to have a more homelike place to come back to at night. We chose Au Coeur Urbain on the basis of the reviews here and how glad we are we did! The proprietors are an absolutely wonderful... More

So, our trip was relatively spur of the moment, and after some discussion my wife and I happened upon this B&B. I must say it was a great decision. Clearly Carolle et Françios have their heart and soul invested in this place. You can tell, from the service (Carolle returned a phone call I made and although I was afraid... More

Carole and Francois make you feel very welcome everyday and serve up the freshest organic breakfast daily with home-made jams, cheeses, and bake goods. We enjoy staying at B & B's whenever we are in Montreal, and this Au Coeur Urbain was a new discovery. It was in an exceptional location, only minutes walk from St. Catherine Street shopping. The neighborhood itself is also quite appealing, full of beautiful high end historic homes. The Swiss Consulate is nearby if that is any indication!! Felt... More

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in early November and are very happy with our choice. Our Russian Room with 4 windows was very clean, bright, and spacious. We were impressed with the comfortable, simple and elegant docor and eco-consicious furnishings, right down to the shower cream and hair shampoo provided. Breakfasts were healthy, delicious, satisfying, and... More

Staying in Parc du Mont-Royal

Neighbourhood Profile
Parc du Mont-Royal
Montreal was named for this hilly highland, where the tallest spot in the city overlooks its most extensive parkland. The greenspace of Parc du Mont-Royal is an outdoorsman's dream, with hiking trails and nature walks that cater to every season and level of athlete. In the winter, cross-country skiers, tobogganers, and ice skaters don their equipment by Beaver Lake and its pavilion, while the warmer months bring families and competitors to the pitches of Jeanne-Mance Park for tennis, soccer, football, baseball, volleyball, or a dip in the community pool. A perfect spot for a stroll or a picnic, the forest foliage is dotted with sculpture art and offers views of some of Mont-Royal's oldest edifices, the towering St. Joseph's Oratory and the mausoleums of Notre-Dame-des-Neiges. Home to musical celebrations and twilight snowshoeing alike, visit here to walk, write, rest, think, or just be.
