Very central downtown location with parking available. Room was very nice and I would definitely stay here again. Only one slight disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was very minimal with bread, yogourt, and cereal. For Montreal, and the type of boutique hotel, I would at least expect also some croissants and some cheese.

Nice little hotel in a traditional Montreal house (or two). Bed is very comfortable and bath was enormous. It could have done with an extra rail to help to climb out of the bath. More towels would also have been good. Shower was hot, sufficient power points and an excellent serve yourself breakfast was included in the room rate.

This is a very quaint property and the staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious but one does need to be able to climb stairs. It is two old Edwardian homes that have been joined together to make the hotel. They have only four or five parking spaces for guests so be sure to reserve one. Once... More

This small hotel is about 15 mins virtually level walk from Union St station, and about 10 mins from the nearest airport bus stop, assuming you are wheeling luggage. It's close to the main downtown streets. Our room, 203, had no view, but was spacious and extremely quiet. We would have liked a kettle in the room, but none were... More

Our room was located right behind the front desk. The room itself was very nice. It had an old (historic) feel to it. Due to our location unfortunately, we could hear the front desk quite clearly and woke up with the sounds coming from the area. Our view was also of the back external staircase and alleyway. I think I... More

This hotel is charming, comfortable, clean and in a great location. We don't spend a lot of time in any hotel, our focus is on see the most of any city that we are visiting. So, to spend a lot of money on big name chain hotels, is not for us. We need a nice room, a comfortable bed, a... More

They gave me this room. First floor behind the front desk. Unable to sleep until hôtel closed at 11:30 and up at 6 because of the noise. No shower either. Nice bath if you like that. I would maybe go back because of the location, but would ask for a room on another floor. I see reviews on the great... More

This is a no frills, centrally placed hotel, free continental breakfast which was a bonus and clean with free wifi. The staff are very young, helpful and strong! Our room was based on the top floor and there is no lifts, a wee slip of a girl carried out 25kg suitcase to the room much to our amazement! Thank you... More

My husband and I often come to this hotel. Usually for a weekend get away; it is great located and it is not pricy. Even the super tiny room with the skylight has its charm and the hotel is always very clean. The front desk team is always so kind. The breakfast is simple but good.

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
