This is a very nice set of rooms in older buildings, so be prepared for lots of stairs, but staff was very helpful with luggage. Rooms were spacious with good beds. Air-conditioning doesn't handle hot, muggy days very well (ours froze up), but staff provided fans, which helped a lot. Breakfast is very good with several selections.

This small inn is perfectly located, 1/2 block from the metro and 2 blocks from a main street with tons of restaurants, clubs and shops. The bed was very comfortable, the room quiet and the decor beautiful. Breakfast was a treat, with waffles, french toast and omelettes individually prepared to order each morning. Although they have their own parking lot... More

I stayed here for 1 night this summer with my 3 children for a quick trip up to Montreal. It was absolutely perfect for us. We stayed in one of the family suites, which had an ideal amount of room. The location was both convenient to the metro and easily walkable to many great restaurants and sights. We really enjoy... More

This was our third stay at this small hotel. We enjoy staying here because of its generous-sized, eclectically decorated rooms, the friendly staff and the fantastic breakfast included. The hotel is comprised of three adjoining brick row-houses (no elevators and potentially three flights of stairs). It is located a half-block from the Lucien-L'Allier Metro station. We have found the rooms... More

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. Unfortunately, we arrived after the front desk had closed, but a quick phone call to the number on the front door had us sorted out and in our room within minutes. We stayed in the walk-up next door to the one where the front desk was located and where breakfast was... More

Stayed 3 nights in room 503. Great location as far as transit goes but not much to see nearby (fine if you want to shop). The room was good, nice size tub but super tiny shower for no reason with the bathroom as large as it was. They say each room has AC but we only saw a wall heater.... More

Great location, in front of the subway station Lucien Allier. Nicely furnished. Wonderful breakfast with friendly service in kitchen and breakfast room. Unfortunately the central air conditioning was poorly working in our room, so it was very warm. Brought this immediately to the attention of the front desk attendant, but nothing was ever done.

This little quint b&b is in a perfect location to old Montreal and shopping. The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. I loved the eggs Benedict with ham, it was real picnic ham not the deli sliced kind. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed with another couple for 3 nights January 30 to February 2nd 2015. As it was a cold winter, wanted to stay near the Bell Centre and this could not have been any closer!! The subway and Bell Centre are steps away - downtown was a short walk away!! The rooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable with a lot of... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
