Our hotel room was ready when we arrived in the morning although we were told it may not be ready until the afternoon. The reception is located on the second floor and the Chinese motif is lovely. Room was clean with a nice view. We could not hear any of our neighbours day or night. Hotel staff at front desk...

I arrived at this Holiday Inn earlier than 3PM, and was allowed to check-in because of my IHG membership. I was given a room on the 9th floor, their highest floor. The room has just the right amount of space, with a king-sized bed, a TV with an average selection of channels, a work desk, a recliner and a balcony...

Stay for 7 days - great location for what I needed. Actually return the car in the first two days as it was easier to walk or taxi to where I was going. Front desk Pierre was very helpful in providing suggestions about the area. Needed a mini fridge and one was brought up the next morning. Didn't try the...

The decoration was very impressive with a pond filled with fish etc the service was not the best you had to repeat your order a few times before getting it.The ducks were excellent but the beef was not edible. The spring rolls were good. so were the dumplings However the shrimps were mashed , not delicious.

Staff are average hotel is average. Gym is below average pool is good and sauna is good. Food over priced and I wouldn't recommend. Breakfast is poor and beyond over priced. Online booking causes issues if you book breakfast and parking. Have to ask to use restroom downstairs and if you have freinds with you they are awkward about non...

Went here with friends for a weekend trip to Montreal. The location is pretty good. Downtown near Chinatown and old Montreal. There is complementary Wi-Fi and a nice restaurant downstairs. There are also 3 PCs and a Mac downstairs with a printer scanner incase you need to do last minute work. Our stay was quiet and we could relax.

My family of two adults, 9 and 12 years old stayed 5 nights there. The hotel is in the center of China town which is convenient for us to look around and shop. The staffs at the front were very kind and helpful. The swimming pool was pretty small as other visitors pointed out. The hot tub looks dirty but...

Clean, reasonably priced, good pool with nice courtyard, decent location. Pierre at the reception desk is incredibly courteous and exceptionally helpful. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and a great price since kids eat free. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

The room was really clean and spacious, with a nice sized bathroom. Only a 2 minute walk to old Montreal, and just across the street is the subway. The pool is small but a great hot tub and sauna. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You can't beat the price, I'm definitely coming again!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighbourhood Profile
Chinatown
Bakeries, markets, restaurants, and buffets crowd the brightly graffitied streets of Chinatown, the city's aromatic destination for pan-Asian cuisine. Distinguished at its entry points by towering vermillion paifang gates, the compact neighbourhood acts as a focal point for the Chinese community, hectic with educational facilities, cultural centres, acupuncturists, and foreign-language newspapers. Especially vibrant in the warmer months, when the sweet smell of dragon beard candy along the pedestrian walks of Rue de la Gauchetière signal the beginning of the outdoor street fair season, Chinatown is a treasure hunter's dream, with enough knickknack and curiosity shops to tempt even the pickiest shoppers. The convivial vibe picks up after dark, when the area's active nightlife offers evening crowds their choice of drink, dance, and midnight snacks of pho or oysters. Chinatown's mix of new and old, with herbal remedies being sold alongside pop-culture DVDs, gives the area its own animated brand of moxie.
