This was an affordable place to stay located just a couple blocks from the bus station. The room was clean and quiet with a good internet connection. The friendly hotel staff provided a list of nearby restaurants and I enjoyed some delicious Indian food next door and live music at a bar just up the street. I highly recommend this...

My wife and I price-compared many hotels and settled on this one-- we don't regret it. We were celebrating our 23rd anniversary, and were very pleased to have chosen a place with such friendly, courteous, professional staff, with a pleasant atmosphere. The hotel has a quaint feel to it-- a winding staircase from the turn-of-the-century, orchestral music playing in the...

This hotel is close to restaurants, and about 5 minutes walk from the train station. The room was small and looked recently renovated, but clearly held that aged building look which is hard to update. The breakfast was free and was also good quality with lots of french style options. The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They took...

I totally loved the character of the place, the friendly service, the central location, and yummy breakfast. My room was downstairs and outside and was totally quiet and endearing - including the apparent storm door.

The hotel was very clean and had comfortable beds. The included breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. I loved the location. It's located on a street with lots of restarants and it's within walking distance to many points of interest. No parking on site but there are a few options nearby, including the library parking garage. I would...

Very nice place to stay for touring Montreal. We like walking, and were able to walk everywhere. There is also a subway station not too far away. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room was decent, quiet, and comfortable, nothing spectacular. Parking is a couple blocks away, but you can unload things right out front. Staff was very friendly. The breakfasts...

We were in Montreal to tour McGill University. My daughter may attend next year. The Hotel was perfect! Easy to find, friendly & helpful staff. Parking for the car was very close by and very inexpensive ($15 for 24 hours) compared with a recent stay in downtown Toronto where parking was in the $55 range. Breakfast was included and was...

This small hotel is located in the Latin Quarter, walking distance (within 30 minutes) to most tourist sites, 7 minutes from the 747 bus to/from the airport, and the Berri Metro station which is also 7 minutes from the hotel. The motel itself is impeccably clean, quiet exactly as described on their website. The staff is helpful and readily available....

The hotel is located on a one way street in downtown Montreal. I was glad that I had a GPS/SatNav to help me find, although it wanted me to the wrong way up the one way street. Parking outside is limited to dropping off bags and checking in. We had no problems in doing that. The parking arranged by the...

Staying in Quartier des Spectacles

Neighbourhood Profile
Quartier des Spectacles
The bar-none entertainment district for music and arts, Quartier des Spectacles is an interactive playground that delights the senses. It totals over 30 performance halls, with the vibrant Place des Festivals at its heart. The outdoor event space features glowing towers, glass edifices, and granite-lined bike paths, and hosts annual festivals, concerts, and comedy nights. The cinema, theatres, and exhibition centres are entwined with external art projects, exemplified at Montreal's Contemporary Art Museum and appearing along every walkway of the Promenade des Artistes in the form of sculpture and public works, from digitally-enhanced swingsets to glowing fountains. Design, performance, and alternative music come together here, a stone's throw from the lively Latin Quarter along Rue Saint-Denis, the quintessential after-party spot for dinner and a drink following a day of jazz, poetry and play.
