This hotel is in a great central location and what really amazed me the most was the service: It's one of their asset! Breakfasts are also GREAT! The buffet is exceptional and the rooms pretty comfortable too. Should I travel to Montreal again I will surely book it again.

Excellent location right around corner from Peel Station allowing easy access to Old Montreal; also about a 10 minute walk from many bars, restaurants and shops on Rue de la Montagne & downtown. Rooms were spacious and clean, beds were very comfortable and staff was friendly. Would stay again.

Very handy for visiting McGill and also close to the Metro to get Old Montreal. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. Friendly desk staff. The only negative was rather low shower pressure which meant you had to stand quite close to get wet!

We only stayed here one night and would have like to extend our stay. Very comfortable room with a kitchenette; very helpful staff; located between the musee des beaux arts and McGill. A very good value!

The room was spacious, immaculate, and the beds very comfy. We had a quiet room on the 15th floor overlooking the city. Hotel parking garage is located directly behind the hotel accessible via Peel or Stanley. Turn into the alley off either of these two streets. Easy to miss. There is a rooftop pool that my husband and I enjoyed...

The hotel itself was very beautiful, very nicely designed and very clean. I gave it a poor rating because their front desk concierges was very disgustingly rude to us. I do not recall her name but we did put in a complaint about her. She was an average height white woman with blonde her pulled into a low bun. She...

We spent two nights in the comfort of a hotel suite which included a fully equipped kitchenette, coffee maker, complementary coffee and tea, dishes, a stovetop oven, a fridge and a champagne ice bucket. We were given access to a gym and the heated rooftop swimming pool which was spotless, green with plants and which featured the most stunning 360...

It's a decent hotel. It's an older hotel therefore it's not shiny, crisp and new which may make some feel it's less than adequate. To me this gives it a little character. There are some small things that could use a little attention, but probably not worth mentioning. We had an recently updated room with an spectacular view of the...

We arrived in Montreal early morning and check-in wasn't until 4 PM. The staff was helpful in storing our luggage and helping arrange for a room as early as possible (got in around noon or 1:00). The rooms were huge and CLEAN and had beautiful views of the city. I found the rooms a little noisy - walls seemed somewhat...

Large older hotel, clean, nice room. Bathroom had been updated but taps in shower need to be replaced - tricky! Our views were awful, but we weren't there for the view. You are in a very noisy and busy area. Decent lobby, hotel has restaurant and bar upstairs. Food was good, and waitress did her best to suit us -...

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
