We booked two rooms at this hotel on Hotwire and got the room for $52/night taxes in. So I have to say right off the top that for the price, you really really really can't complain. Had I paid website rate of over $140/night, this would be an entirely different review. That said, being a low star property doesn't give... More

I have stayed here three times in last two years while visiting daughter at University. It appears to be an apartment building converted to hotel. Queen suite is spacious with TV in bedroom and living room. Nice little kitchen stocked utensils, dishes, etc. and a nice little dining area. Everything worked and was clean. Great location with grocery nearby and... More

I have stayed in this hotel twice due to work schedules. Good location, reasonable prices, clean big rooms with kitchenette. Bit old but clean and everything works. Friendly staff and breakfast is good.

This is the second year that my girlfriend and I come out for girls weekend and the second time we have stayed here. This place is super clean and yes althought a little out dated you can't ask for better location and service. The parking lot is a little tricky and it make take two of you to park the... More

I stayed in the one bedroom suite. The rooms are extremely spacious however extremely old, it seems like this hotel has not been renovated for a while. Also, despite being relatively clean, there is still dust in some places such as close to windows and the balcony. Having that said, the person at the reception was extremely helpful and respectful.

The suite had everything we needed for Passover. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. The refrigerator was large and brand new. It was like a mini apartment with a small dinette opposite the kitchen and a sitting area with a convertible sofa with a large screen TV. It was very comfortable. There was also a balcony where we were... More

Price was good for the "suite" - it is nice having a little kitchenette - but I have to agree with some of the other reviews - the sauna did not work, and in general it looks a little bit run down - we visited when it was cold - probably about a 25 min walk to downtown (we cabbed).... More

Very much set up like an apartment which has its advantages and disadvantages. It is close to a metro(Atwater) but quite a walk to downtown or Old town. If central location is important, this is not the place for you. Otherwise, great value. Grocery close by. Crescent at 5-6 blocks away. Staff friendly at check in.

The room has a general lack of maintenance and cleaning. The walls are dirty with finger prints of earlier customers, doors were half painted and the paint in the bathroom was peeling off due to excess humidity. Also general cleanliness is poor. Will not stay there again.

I had a fantastic 2-week stay in the hotel's studio during my business trip last December. The studio that I had was clean and spacious. The unit had a dining area, sitting area and a fully furnished kitchenete. It also had a balcony but it was just too cold to be at the balcony! The hotel's location is perfect for... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
