We stayed three nights during a frigid weekend in Montreal. This hotel, situated between Plateau Mont Royal and the Latin Quarter, is close to the metro but it is also easy to walk to many places around the city. Chateau de L'Argot had fantastic heat, a necessity when returning to our room during our stay. The staff was warm and...

This is a quaint older style hotel with chandelier lighting in rooms. Rooms are very well maintained and kept very clean. Bed was comfortable, though the mattress was a bit on the softer side. Bathroom was large with good water pressure and water temperature. Room was hot and it wasn't easy to control the heating temperature, but the windows opened...

This was my second stay at the Chateau de l'Argoat. The location of this place is just perfect. It's around 10 minutes walking from the bus station and not even 5 minutes to the subway. The room was very clean. The breakfast is a very pleasant (and filling) way to start your day with croissants, bagels, toasts, muffins, yogurts, orange...

We stayed here 3 nights to spend most days working and nights eating at some great restaurants. This hotel is close to a lot of great restaurants, we specifically picked this hotel based on its location to a few really good ones, and most places were 20 mins or less walking. The rooms are simple but comfortable with big bright...

Our home base for our weekend in Montreal was Chateau de L'Argoat, which is centrally situated between Plateau Mont Royal and Quartier Latin. The hotel is very walkable to several bars, restaurants and shopping. Additionally, it's close to a metro stop, which makes getting pretty much anywhere in the city a breeze. But what I loved most about this place...

We stayed three nights and enjoyed our time there! From the little "cafe" where we were served breakfast by Louise (croissants, muffins, yogurt, fruit, etc). to the personal attention given by Alain for locating restaurants, tourist attractions, and giving advice, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Sherbrooke station is really close, as well as the central station (Gare d'autocars de Montreal) for...

This was a great, one-night stay for our anniversary. We stayed in Room 26, which, as they advertise, is up two flights of stairs, but they're not bad, in all honesty. It was nice and quiet, spacious, and clean. Walking distance from many restaurants and shops. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was much better than expected!

I stayed here for 3 nights after booking on Expedia. It is aesthetically gorgeous. It's an older hotel... no bells and whistles, but still nice. They offer a small continental breakfast menu. It's across the street from the Sherbrooke metro station and a short walk from St. Denis street and the Latin Quarter where there are tons of restaurants.

This was my first time in Montreal and I don't think I could have found a more convenient place at a decent price. Pros: - It's right next to the Sherbrooke Metro station, so traveling throughout the city is easy. - Free parking, which I could not find anywhere else that close to the city center. You do have to...

Daily breakfast was lovely to get us off to a day of adventures and the waitress was wonderful. The rooms were more european than traditional hotels but could be closer to restaurants and evening bars.

Staying in Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)

Neighbourhood Profile
Olympic Park & Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa)
Named for the Olympic Stadium complexes built for the 1976 games, the Olympic Park and the surrounding neighbourhood of Hochelaga-Maisonneuve (HoMa) make up an invigorated area dedicated to "Space for Life." Around the Olympic Village's arenas and stadiums, Rue Sherbrooke welcomes exploration of its sculpture gardens decorated in the works of Jean-Paul Riopelle and its museum culture headed by the historical Château Dufresne. Maisonneuve Park offers interactive experiences at its bio-dome, insectarium, planetarium, and botanical gardens. For a change of scene, the gentrified space along Rue Ontario Est is packed with the city's newest, edgiest cafes, where an imaginative, youthful crowd sips foamy cappuccinos. A visit here is incomplete without stepping into the vast halls of the Maisonneuve Market, with flower stalls, wine depots, and local produce.
