We stayed at this hotel during a long weekend in Montreal. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and we had a lovely fireplace in the corner. Very conveniently located and tons of shopping in the area.

We chose this hotel for our stay during our 1 yr anniversary trip to Montreal. We have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. As other have mentioned the location is superb. We were close to the metro, underground mall, plenty of places to eat, etc. The staff was always very attentive and gave us great suggestions. We... More

We were there for one night because we were going to Adele's show. Everybody was very nice. The room was nice and clean. Right in downtown Montreal, within 10 minutes walk from everywhere. Lots of shopping and restaurants around the hotel. Very nice bar. We would go back

We just had a weekend getaway in Montreal and this was a perfect hotel. Not too big, room was a reasonable size and very comfortable. The fireplace in the room was really nice on a cold and rainy weekend. Location was central to everything - easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was very good.... More

We have stayed here now 3 or 4 times and have always had a good experience. It is what it says on the tin - a clean, smart, central hotel where staff are helpful and you are close to McGill, restaurants, subway and a short drive to most places.

Overall this is a great downtown hotel. It's clean, nicely decorated and the concierge are on top of things. The gym is a bit cramped and my daughter got stuck in the stairwell and had to call me since none of the doors open from inside the stairwell. Oops. Also, the elevator on the 2nd floor where the washrooms are,... More

Staying in Centre-Ville (Downtown)

Neighbourhood Profile
Centre-Ville (Downtown)
Montreal's towering skyline is concentrated in the Downtown area, its nexus of commerce and commercialism. A suffusion of luxury hotels, flagship stores, high-end restaurants, and corporate headquarters characterize the neighborhood, which by nightfall transforms from a business district into a youth-culture hotspot, with hip bars, clubs, and restaurants heavily peopled by students and young professionals. The once-seat of millionaire's 'Golden Square Mile', an incongruity of stately mansions and dapper brownstones sit between glass skyscrapers, creating a visually lush urban landscape. Beneath the sidewalks lay the Underground City, the world's largest below-ground mall, a labyrinth of over 1,500 shops and eateries that echo the profusion of cafes, gallerias, cinemas, and fashion outlets above. From the scholarly array at McGill University to the carousing crowds of Rue Crescent, visit Downtown to shop by day for what you'll wear there by night.
