I spent a weekend in Montreal and stayed here for 2 nights. The room was small but cozy. Shared bath was clean and well stocked with toiletries. Unfortunately it was on the floor above me, which was a little inconvenient.
Breakfast was excellent with eggs,...More
I am told the building is over a 100 years old and it looks it inside. Nothing modern about it period. The bathroom was about 25 square feet in area (very small). Our room was on the second floor with a steep set of stairs with...More
Staff were charming and courteous. Breakfast was generous, omelette was cooked to perfection. Bed was plush and comfortable. Room service was thorough. Wifi worked well. I could walk most places from the central location, and when I couldn't the closest Metro station Berri was conveniently...More

The rainbow pillars of Beaudry Métro Station shepherd the way into to The Village, one of the largest hubs for gay and lesbian culture in North America. With an open layout and a congenial aura, the refurbished buildings along Rue Sainte-Catherine pay a special homage to menswear and to caffeine, with showrooms and cafes. By morning, the antiquing gems along Amherst Street are packed with collectors. An incredible party
spot, The Village comes alive at night, when clubs, bars, and dance halls open their doors and the revelry is high, epitomised by the fanciful trimmings of the apropos Oscar Wilde building. From May to September, the area closes to automotive traffic, allowing restaurant terraces to pour onto the streets, creating a dynamic sense of community. Les Boules Roses, thousands of pink baubles, are hung to welcome in the festivals and celebrations, including Montréal en Arts, Divers-Cité, and the Pride Parade.
It is a bit tricky. There are free parking spots in the streets nearby, but for limited time. Upon arriving at the BB, they give you a plan of the streets with the free parking spots. It took me about 20 minutes of driving... More
It is a bit tricky. There are free parking spots in the streets nearby, but for limited time. Upon arriving at the BB, they give you a plan of the streets with the free parking spots. It took me about 20 minutes of driving around until I found an empty spot, but I was able to park there the car for free for two days. If I had stayed longer, I would have had to move it.
