The Good- lovely atmosphere, nice staff, great breakfast, great "Happy Hour", great welcome basket with goodies, excellent location. The Bad- very difficult to find seats to eat breakfast. Our room was not as clean as one would expect from such a place-there was a thick layer of dust on many things and we found a dryer sheet and hair in... More

My wife and I traveled to PEI in April 2016 to open up a family home in Point Prim. After a 10 plus hour drive from Boston we decided to stay here rather than continue the drive to our home. This was by far the BEST hotel we've ever stayed at. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. The front... More

Enetering the lobby during the Christmas season is a great experience. You're greeted with home-made cookies and your choice of adult beverages to enjoy in front of the fire. Just sit back into the sumptuous leather couch and let your worries disappear... The Great George is a fantastic place to stay, and a relative bargain to boot! In addition to... More

I stayed only 1 night, and wished I could have stayed longer! This was my first time to Charlottetown, and was hoping for a well-located hotel to allow walking the downtown area. This one fit the bill, and was very impressive in terms of service level and comfort. The beer and wine reception was a nice surprise, and the complimentary... More

The Great George, which we booked through Trip Advisor, consists of several elegantly restored properties in downtown Charlottetown. Each of the varied available accommodations has a history. The room in which we stayed was very clean and very well maintained. The hospitality offered, including an elegant breakfast presentation each morning and a generous wine and beer reception each afternoon, accompanied... More

The Great George is a classic example of the customer service goal of 'surprise and delight' In September we were fortunate to spend 3 nights at this charming, historic, boutique hotel. The staff were most accommodating and really seemed to want us to have a memorable experience. They offered excellent advice on dining options and on activities designed to get... More

We stayed at the 3 bedroom Witter Coombs Suite at The Great George. It is so spacious, private, comfortable and elegant. We enjoyed it very much. We'll come back next time in Charlottetown. Thank you!

We were upgraded to a wonderful suite which really worked out great. It had a refrigerator, small stove, and most important a washer and dryer. We had been traveling for 10 days and needed to do some laundry. The room was very clean and luxurious. The bed was top notch. Should we ever come back, this would be our first... More

We visited Charlottetown to attend a wedding and enjoyed a perfect stay at The Great George. A lovely room, beautiful ambiance, excellent location, great breakfast, friendly and efficient staff, and did I mention that my husband's name is none other than George??!!
