Booked 2 nights at the hotel which is very close to the convention Center where I had to attend a conference. It within 10 walk to Chinatown, AGO, Queen Street shopping, theatres etc. I also walked about 15 mins to Union Station to catch the express train to the airport. It’s ok if you have a suitcase with good wheels. Small but function gym and pool. Full buffet breakfast in the morning. Friendly staff. Also got an upgrade to a 1 BD suite at the end of the hall so it was nice and quiet. There is a lot of construction in the area with new towers going up, but windows are good and sounds wasn’t so bad. I booked another 4 night stay next week for another conference in town.
Valet wouldn’t even attempt to try to park our pick up truck. It’s a normal size F-150, not lifted or oversized in any way. Had we known this would be an issue (we’ve never had an issue with our truck in underground hotel lots) we would have obviously chosen a different hotel rather than have to find our own parking elsewhere. The lobby is beautifully renovated, the rooms are beginning to show their age. I think the shower head is from the 90’s. I can’t remember the last time I stayed at a Residence Inn that didn’t have a Keurig, this one has the old motel coffee maker. Overall disappointed in our experience and likely would not stay again.
We recently stayed six nights at the Residence Inn downtown. Absolutely no issues at all. We loved our stay and will definitely book here again if we go back. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchenette as an added bonus. The breakfast far exceeded our expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. We location was absolutely perfect. A five minute walk to Roger’s Centre, the CN Tower and numerous restaurants. I would recommend this place to anyone.
I stayed 4 nights in the Marriott Residence Inn in a king studio. Check in was very quick. My room was on the 14th floor, the view from the room was not great as it faced the electrical plant. The room was very spacious with a small kitchen area of a microwave, hob, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. There was a sofa, a couple of desks and large TV. The room was very clean but dated. On the last night the room was never cleaned. Breakfast was ok, thought there might be more choice as it’s such a large hotel. Wifi was fast. The location was excellent, 5 min walk to CN about 15 mins to Union station which is great for getting the UP to and from the airport. Closest metro is St Andrew’s. Overall my stay was comfortable, however felt the room was very overpriced.
We had a great girls trip weekend in Toronto. There was a baseball game and hockey playoffs in downtown so the city was buzzing with excitement. The check in line was busy but Anmol Datta came from out of nowhere and assisted the front desk. Lucky me! It was a quick check in, got my keys after Anmol personally checked the room. He was quick to acknowledge my Ambassador Elite status and recited all the amenities, breakfast options, parking situation available to me. The 1 bedroom king suite was spacious, very clean and had all the kitchen stuff for a nice weekend. Pull-out couch was perfect and had enough pillows and blankets. Breakfast from 7-10am offers hot eggs, bacon, cereal, breads etc. Location is excellent; baseball stadium is a 5 minute walk and the CN Tower is steps away. Restaurants, bars, shops all the way around. We felt very safe in the area. Highly recommended and I send our thanks to Anmol for a wonderful Bonvoy welcome! Pix & vid on IG: @i_therefore_conclude…
My wife and I were in Toronto for a few days getaway. The location was excellent. The staff were spot on and the breakfast was good. We would stay there again. However, there are some issues that could use some attention. The room never cooled off, despite outside temps in the 60's (Fahrenheit). Be advised, if you expect coffee to still be available at the breakfast area at 9:58, when they stop breakfast at 10, forget about it. The staff start clearing everything before 10. Our room had a view of the electric plant, not the fault of the hotel but was hoping for better. Overall, good, not great stay.
stayed here for a couple of weeks, the staff are extremely helpful. they have an excellent breakfast spread. The front desk was very helpful. and the housekeeping staff were so friendly. I really have to call out Nenette from housekeeping, she is such a cheerful and helpful person. Being new to Canada, I needed help to get to know the place, and she always helped me out with directions. The rooms are cleaned spotless on a daily basis. The only issue i had was with the key cards, they stopped working several times during my stay. but the front desk, were very prompt in providing me a new one.
My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was clean large. We appreciated the kitchen to store food and cook a meal. The breakfast buffet was awesome with a large selection. Very close to the ballpark which was the reason for our visit.
We stayed one night in a studio king room. We were impressed with the size of the room and the amenities, including a full kitchen. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was excellent and it was so nice not to have to use disposable plates and cutlery. It was nice to be able to take our breakfast back to the room. The location was great for attending the theatres. We look forward to returning!
We had a room overlooking the CN tower. The complimentary breakfast, prompt service was a cheery on the cake to the great amenities and location. I would recommend this hotel to both business travelers and families for the ease and comfort this place offers. 5 Stars!
