Our early morning arrival was not a problem for the friendly front desk staff. We were pleasantly greeted, our room was ready and we were told to enjoy breakfast if we had not yet ate. The room was clean, full kitchen is great. The buffet breakfast is quite comprehensive, hot and frequently topped up to ensure fresh, hot foods. Great...

And from what I've seen they treat everyone like that. Great breakfast, great rooms, great staff. Rooms are clean some have a view some don't. Have stayed here before and would definitely stay again. Not connected to The Path but it is only a short walk away. Easy access to the theaters or the CN tower area. Hotel is quiet,...

I have never stayed at this hotel before and ended up booking here as the ones closer to Bay St were full or way over-priced. I was impressed. The staff at check-in were excellent and very friendly. I was upgraded to the top floor in a large corner room which was obviously renovated recently. Everything spotless and nice amenities. One...

The hotel was great, I was give a king suite which was spacious and had enough room where I could do some work while not out for meetings. The location was quite and didn't get interrupted by street noise. The hotel had free breakfast, which is good for someone on the go.

The Residence Inn on Wellington is close to the PATH network so being outdoors during winter is avoidable. The rooms are nicely laid out with very good amenities. Ours was a King Studio. More than adequate. Breakfast is good and the small bar area is just fine.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
