Very basic budget hotel that satisfied what i expected for a brief one night stay. there was no microwave but there was coffee and a functioning TV, there was a fridge. Courteous staff who allowed me to store my luggage and phoned me several taxis. its located close to College station which is a short walk away and minutes into...

Nice staff. Quiet and clean rooms. I was so concerned when I read the other reviews but found out it was a good place to stay a couple of nights in Toronto. Other people could have expected a 5-star hotel rather than a small Inn in the middle of the city. I would stay there again and recommend to all.

Upon booking the hotel, I was expecting only the most basic amenities, a clean place to sleep and shower, not too much to ask after all it is a hotel. When I was checking in, a family was requesting a refund saying they would not be staying there that night. I thought "oh no, what did I get myself into?"...

I can't speak for other people's opinions of this place, however I can say that I was in a taxi and at another hotel within 15 minutes of arriving. Driving through Downtown Toronto in the taxi from the airport, the quality of the location dipped rather sharply as we approached the Knight's Inn, to the point where I was getting...

Upon entering the room. I noticed there was no blinds on the window as I went to undress for the shower. I got dressed and informed the front desk. He came in and found a dirty set of blinds on the floor and managed to keep them up providing I did not touch them. So I couldn't open and close...

I stayed in this hotel to be able to attend Toronto's Fan Expo in September 2015. We booked this hotel because of its location and affordability. When I read the reviews I was very worried. But I'm surprised by them now as my experience was very pleasant. The staff were incredibly friendly showing us to our rooms carrying our bags....

This place is old and tired, so of course there were mixed reviews. We stayed mostly because of the location, walking distance to everywhere we needed to visit in Toronto. We really just needed an affordable place to sleep, so it was okay. Parking is an issue. We had to pay around $15 for a two-day city parking permit that...

This hotel is in a really rough area (do not walk around at night, take a taxi) there are drug addicts roaming the streets at night, and in the day I was spat on by a local for literally just waiting in the street for a bus. The staff are unfriendly and don't even acknowledge you once you've checked in....

Doing renovations here. Lots of junk in the hallways understandably. Rooms and building are older but have been renovated. Still feels a little small however its good value. No breakfast however it was advertised.

my room was very small, the window was just covered with wooden materials, not really helping to prevent the wind. It looked really really old and needed to get renovated as walls had many holes. it wasn't too messy or dirty but I never felt comfortable there. The room was horrible without any big window and natural light, smelled weird...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
