What a superb hotel. My husband was at St. Michaels hospital this hotel was a block from the hospital. I spoke with Pella at the front desk, she was calm and made me feel like I was taken care of. I didn't know when my husband would be transferred to our hometown hospital, Pella was able to book me ahead as well as cancel my reservation when I had to leave in a hurry. I had a nice quiet well-appointed room. It was an oasis in a sea of chaos.

Stayed at this hotel on two separate occasions within the last two months. Great location in downtown Toronto—near public transit, shopping, restaurants and theatres. Beautiful, spacious and clean rooms with very comfortable beds. The room for my second stay had a kitchenette, washer/dryer, living room area with a large-screen TV and a separate bedroom with another large-screen TV. Security was good in that you need to use your room card in the elevator to get to your floor. What made my two separate stays at this hotel quite memorable is the excellent and friendly hotel staff. Paul and Ron at the front desk were super friendly, courteous and very helpful. Thank you, Paul and Ron!

My husband was having heart surgery at St. Michaels Hospital and everyone was wonderful getting me set up in a lovely room. It was a very stressful time and as it turned out, the day I checked out to go back home my husband had a set back. I came back to the desk to see if I could get a room again but the hotel was booked. The staff took my cell number and within a couple hours called me that there was a cancellation. The relief I had and the friendliness of everyone when I arrived back was amazing and certainly helped my stress level. A huge thank you to, Jo/Sundar/Honey and Paul, you are the absolute best. I had breakfast and dinner every day and evening in the restaurant and the food and servers were also wonderful. The Pantages Hotel is to be commended for by far the nicest and cleanest Hotel in Toronto I’ve stayed at. Very comfortable beds too. Again I can’t thank you enough for making a tough trip much easier thank you again to, Jo/Sundar/Honey and Paul.

The rooms are spacious and functional, as well as the gym. However, what stands out is the service; always willing to help in any given situation. Pella was really understanding and helpful several times. Overall, a great experience! Will come back.

I booked this hotel at first due to its proximity to St Mikes Hospital where my husband was to undergo spinal surgery, but the hospitality and staff willingness to go above and beyond would make me stay again. Pella, front desk manager, helped me thru my stay which at first was for 4 days and turned out to be 17 days, due to complications of my husbands health. Even tho I didn’t know day to day if I needed the room for another night, Pella, would assure me, I would have a bed at the hotel, no matter what. I looked forward to seeing her smiling face in the morning knowing I did not have to worry about my accommodation, I had enough worry with my husbands health issues. Pella, was so sympathetic to my needs every day, I can’t thank her enough. Well done, Pella.

Great experience at this hotel. Spacious and clean rooms, nice bathroom. We had a corner suite and had full view of an office but that is addressed with black our curtains. I was mostly shocked with the size of the room. I'm used to staying in smaller rooms. Really no complaints other than the TV (no smart options).

Great stay, staff were extremely friendly. Check in and out were easy. Rooms were large and very clean. My only complaint was the coffee machine clearly hadn't been cleaned in a very long time was pretty gross but aside from that the room and hotel was very clean and well kept.

We had to come to Toronto to St Michaels Hospital for a heart procedure for my Mom. We chose the Pantages Hotel for its close proximity to the hospital. We could not have made a better choice. The room with the kitchnette was just what we needed . It was spacious and more than comfortable for the three of us. The beds were super comfortable. Pella at the front desk went overboard to ensure we had everything we needed. The Shoppers Drugmart around the corner has a good stock of groceries and not over priced. The room had a good size fridge, microwave, hot plate and keurig. They provide a kitchen set with dishes and utensils. It even had a washer and dryer. We would recommend this hotel to anyone having to come to St Michaels or for any other reason Highly Recommend

Beautiful rooms, excellent customer service Pella and her team made sure our stay was a pleasant one. My go to Hotel when I’m in town. Close to the Eaton Centre and local restaurants and theatres. Parking underground across the street for $24.00 for two nights.

We are traveling from 500km away. We knew the hotel did not have parking on-site. But didn't realize just how far we'd need to go to find a spot. The parking lot across from the hotel was full when we arrived. We spent 30 mins driving around the city to locate public parking. We were able to park at the Eaton Center, but it did require us to walk down from the parking lot, through the mall, down the road and up a block with all of our luggage. Of course, we didn't not have rollators on our luggage and the road beside the hotel was closed off. Or else we would have dropped off everything at the door before hand but we were unable to park there even short term to unload. Once we went to leave our parking site to go home we were charged $71 dollars and we weren't even there 24 hours!!!!! $71 dollars to park overnight... from 330pm to 11am the next day. Just a heads up. We will reconsider another location during our next visit to Toronto.

Response from Paul Gordon, Guest Services / Front Office at Pantages Hotel Toronto Centre
Responded 24 Nov 2023
Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I can certainly appreciate the difficulty you experienced navigating around the downtown core as there are a lot of construction and events currently taking place. I am, however, quite surprised to learn how expensive your parking expense was at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Typically, overnight prices in our area range from $50-$55. Parking at The Toronto Eaton Centre tends to be more expensive as they accommodate a higher number of customers. We are hoping to see you again and recommend trying the Green P parking lot at 20 Dundas Square should parking across the road be full. Looking at current pricing, tonight's overnight price would be $53 while St. Michael's parking lot across the street is charging $49.
