We stayed here for a weekend away from home. The hotel is ultra modern and designed beautifully, from the lobby to the room, everything is aesthetically pleasing! The room had a super comfy king sized bed, a fully stocked mini bar, high ceilings and wood furnishing throughout. The bathroom wall was made of glass with the options to close the...

Spontaneous trip to Toronto with hubby and a hotwire buy, bought us a night at Hotel Le Germain. We were very happy with it. 5 star happy! It's a euro hotel with beautiful, clean rooms. No old mouldy bathrooms or showers here! Great stay :)) Had a comfy kingsize bed with duvets. And ladies, you don't need to bring your...

Booked a room here on the recommendation of a colleague in Toronto. Fabulous attention to detail is evident throughout the hotel - matched only by the attentiveness by staff. Peaceful oasis after being out in the city and accomodations are superb. If noise bothers you, ask for a King Street room. This hotel is now my home away from home...

What a wonderful hotel! It's design is modern and chich (interesting shower design that is a lot of fun) and thoroughly comfortable. The staff was very helpful. The location was great- right in the heart of everything- but also its only real negative. The hotel is surrounded by nightclubs with active rooftop bars. Ask for a high floor to avoid...

We have been staying at Le Germain Toronto since its opening , each time we go visit my sister, in Toronto. This winter 2014, she was fighting a cancer, so we were in Toronto every 3rd week to help and assist her. Staying at Le Germain on Mercer was a comforting and relaxing pause after a long day. Every thing...

It makes me feel like home every time I come here, even though I'm on business. I love the spacious rooms, the comfy bed, the gigantic bathroom with the oh-so heavenly Molton Brown bath products. Brunch is nice, staff is ever so friendly and the location makes it easy to get around the city.

We family of 4 and first time to Toronto stayed at Hotel Le Germain on a recommendation and loved it. The hotel was very comfortable. We loved the beds and robes were a nice touch. The breakfast was wonderful and the location couldn't have been more perfect near the CN Tower and Hockey Hall of Fame.

The hotel makes a dated and somewhat "tired" impression. The wooden panels everywhere may have been stylish when it was built it can hardly stand the test of time. It may also be caused by the dark, stained tapestry we found in our room at the 6th floor. We booked two rooms, one with double bed for our daughters, one...

I have stayed several times. It is always a pleasure. The location is excellent for a downtown Toronto visit. The decor and food also excellent. Its virtues are also its problems. For a glimpse of downtown condo life in a growing city - noise - street ripped up in front - mud - overlooking windows - are all available as...

The room we stayed in was beautiful luxury king room with plenty of rooms for the three of us. We've stayed at the ACC Le Germain in the past and enjoyed that hotel very much so we figured we would try the sister location in Toronto as well. We were going to see One Direction at The Roger's Centre and...

Management response:

Dear Joe L, I would like to apologize for the experience you and your family had this past weekend at our hotel. We have typically had good cooperation from our neighbours in adjusting the noise levels after 11:00 pm to accomodate for our guests. This was obviously not the case during your stay and I will follow up with them...

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
