Ace Hotel Toronto lives in the heart of the Garment District, within an outstretched arm of many of the independent and legacy cultural institutions that comprise Toronto’s multicultural mosaic. The hotel is adjacent to Queen West, Chinatown, and the Downtown business core, blocks from famed music venues Horseshoe Tavern and Velvet Underground, from the Art Gallery of Ontario and TIFF Bell Lightbox — Toronto International Film Festival’s HQ, and from the Bentway, the city’s artistic, cultural, and recreational public space. Ace Hotel Toronto reflects the city’s past through a prismatic and future-facing vantage — preserving its layered legacies and adding texture with considered design and feeling. Intentionally crafted as a civic space, the hotel stands both in homage to and in dialogue with the neighborhood it inhabits.

This hotel is great and I always stay here but the best thing about it is the people. Coco at the front desk made my trip feel personal and special. She went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and known. It’s rare and appreciated! Illl be back.

This hotel values style over substance. In the quest for streamlined decor, my "king" room had one tiny bistro table and one uncomfortable wooden chair. That was it, that was the entirety of the surface area for my possessions. The enormous windows had no drapes for privacy or room darkening, just janky, thin blinds that wouldn't stay closed. The bathroom was comically uncomfortable; no place to put my toiletries, two tiny hooks, shower so close to the sink that water splashed everywhere. Towels in a basket under the sink because the bathroom was the size of a postage stamp and completely without useful storage. No horizontal surfaces in the water closet, either. The stylized coat hooks by the door were so close to the door that I had to remove my coat if I wanted to open or close the door. And one random weeknight during my stay, the music from the 2nd floor party space was so loud that, even several floors above in my room, it kept me awake. The hotel staff said they couldn't do anything about it. In my estimation, the number one job of a hotel is to provide a comfortable place to sleep, and they couldn't do it. So thanks for the help. I won't be back, and I'll get my company to remove the hotel from their list of preferred places to stay.

I had a lovely stay at this cool, chic hotel. The room was marvelous thanks to the lovely Sandra Irene Sanguli Mwakid (yes, I asked for all her names as she was just the best and deserves the praise! I hope I got them all right, hehe). Thank you for everything, I will definitely stay in this hotel again, 100% recommend.

This hotel is nicely placed in the city center of Toronto and located out of the main streets but within walking distance of all the action. Going to the game was fun and the city was alive that Friday. Great for food and fun in a city center.

This was one of the most comfortable places I've stayed. All of the little touches made a difference. Placement of lighting - and hooks to hang your coat and towels! (often absent in hotel rooms). The room was not huge but the clever wooden built in closets, couch, and desk made the room feel much larger. The warmth of the wood floor upon entry (nothing better than bare floor for your shoes in the entry; don't know why so many hotels insist on carpeted everything - nothing worse than bare feet on dirty carpet!) and the wood throughout the room made it very "hygge". We were on the 10th floor and the large windows let in a lot of light - but the double curtains kept out the light when you wanted dark. Also appreciated the lack of plastic and polyester that is prevalent in so many hotel chains. The bed coverings were cotton, cozy, and comfortable and the bed firm, not squishy. Location was close to every kind of restaurant one might imagine, close to public transit, and though we were worried about parking space there was an affordable lot right next to the hotel - so felt like onsite parking. We'd definitely stay again!

Hi Kari, Thank you so much for the awesome review and it made our day. I’m dead serious, we’re dancing in the lobby. The love from the lighting vibes to the genius hooks (we think we are pretty cool), are glad you felt the love. And what about the wooden wonder that gives a sense of our home away from home. Glad you discovered our location as a foodie’s heaven. – we’ve got you covered! Your vibe was so cool and we can’t wait to do it all over again. Come back for more cool vibes at Ace Hotel Toronto the next time you are in town.

One of my top 5 hotel experiences, exceeded my expectations. On our drive in they texted me to see if we wanted to dine at the on-site restaurant and made reservations for us. Right after a friendly check-in we had an amazing meal (the pasta - wow!) right downstairs. The bed was really cozy and the room was clean and stylish, overlooking the park across the street. There is definitely city noise, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. We walked to restaurants, shopping and the convention center and parked easily at the nearby garage. The day we left (friendly, helpful checkout as well), we had breakfast at the bar and every bite was stellar - coffee, pastries, egg sandwich. I’ll definitely be back!

Hi Kirsten, Thanks a million for your awesome review! We're thrilled to hear we made it into your top 5 hotel experiences. Making dining reservations for you before check-in is just the beginning of our efforts to make your stay exceptional. That pasta, right? We're glad you loved it! A cozy bed, a clean, stylish room, and a view of the park – it sounds like you had the full Ace experience. City noise is a thing, but we're so pleased you enjoyed our prime location and found parking nearby hassle-free. It was a pleasure having you as our guest, and we're already looking forward to your return. Stellar breakfasts and stellar guests like you – that's what keeps us going!

The Ace Hotel is a super cool boutique in Toronto's Garment District. The facade is quite a spectacle with rust-hued bricks stacked vertically and horizontally interspersed with glass slivers. The building is further bulked up by an radius formation above a copper-clad entrance. Upon entry, I was greeted by a soaring triple-height lobby lounge complemented by a glorious light-filled cathedral-like atrium....the focal point of the property. My Suite was an enticing dwelling with a 'bush cabin' feel exemplified by paneling, the floors. and numerous millwork pieces in Douglas Fir. The color palette of terracotta and indigo, canvas wall, concrete ceiling elevated the design of the room. A large window provide a sprawling park view and embraced a window nook with a meter-deep window ledge........I found the bench so great for perching while reading a book. Lots of high-tech room appliances graced the surroundings as well as the signature Ace guitar and artwork touches.....while the hotel packs in a number of art installations into the property. The bath was spiffy with a rainforest shower and a grand tub. The Ace has a trio of eating options. The Alder is a Mediterranean inspired eatery, high on design with the likes of brick floors, concrete walls, copper scones and other decor items. The menu is powered by a wood fired grill, producing all manner of creative cuisine compositions.......the Grilled 0ctobus and the Carpaccio were my favorite......but the Coconut Cream Pie........well, was more than my favorite. The Lounge is a convenient utilitarian facility with a menu of snacks, small plates and cocktails......it serves everything from oatmeal to avocado toast and most things in between. Evangeline is a seasonal rooftop that plays host to a number of social circle events and is supported by the usual food and drink suspects for an outdoor patio. So, if you would enjoy accommodations in a hotel that is a X between rugged Canada and pompous New York City.....then try the .......... Ace Hotel Toronto...........a chic, Great White North, getaway.

Hi Room-in-my-suitcase, We couldn't agree more with your fantastic review of Ace Hotel Toronto. It's truly a unique gem in the heart of the Garment District. The way you described the facade with rust-hued bricks and glass slivers had us nodding in agreement. And that triple-height lobby lounge? It's indeed a showstopper. We can totally picture you in that window nook, enjoying the park view with a good book. We're thrilled you appreciated the high-tech touches and our signature Ace guitar and artwork installations. The dining options at Ace are a culinary adventure, and we're delighted to hear you enjoyed our Michelin Recommendation restaurant Alder Mediterranean-inspired menu. The Grilled Octopus and Carpaccio are top picks, but we're with you on that Coconut Cream Pie – it's a real treat. The Lounge is the ultimate go-to for any craving, from oatmeal to avocado toast. And Evangeline on the rooftop? Well, it's the cherry on top for those social gatherings. If you're seeking the perfect blend of rugged Canadian charm and New York City's stylish vibes, Ace Hotel Toronto is the place to be. Thank you for sharing your experience, and we can't wait to welcome you back for more adventures in the Great White North!
