Great please, cool 70s decor, all the staff were very pleasant. Expensive but well worth the price. Had a more "relaxed" feel than other "stuffier" hotels. They had vinyl records and a player in the room! Showers were wonderful and robes were fantastic. Great stay 10/10
Fantastic addition to the Ace Hotel line! The location was very central to anything you need. Parking was not yet available, but we ended up parking in a secure lot just one block away on King Street. You can pay hourly, for exactly as long as you need. Very convenient. You can already see the architecture and attention to detail in the photos. What you cannot see in the photos is the exceptional hospitality from the crew. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. A hotel stay should feel relaxed and carefree. This is was absolutely achieved because of the staff. The hotel is brand new. I can only hope they maintain this level as it becomes more and more popular. Look forward to staying here again when the rooftop lounge is complete.
The building is immaculate and impressive. Rooms are very clean and well thought of. Amenities are top notch. Best of all, staff and service are 2nd to none. They are the most genuine staff you would ever meet from service to management.
My girlfriend and I just stayed at the Ace Hotel Sept 3rd 2022 and WOW. We've stayed at many hotels downtown Toronto and this one has to be the most memorable. We loved everything about it. From the moment you walk in you're greeted with friendly staff and very comfortable ambience. It has a completely different vibe then the standard hotel. It's very welcoming. The room has a vintage sort of vibe to it which was refreshing and the bed / pillows were some of the most comfortable we've ever slept on. Loved everything about it. We were heading out that night but decided to go down to the lobby for a drink before heading out and again WOW. The ambience was great for a casual drink and the live dj provided a great back drop to the whole thing. It wasn't over-the-top loud but just right so you could still casually socialize. We both give this hotel a solid 10/10 and can't wait to go back.…
First of all let me just say that this hotel is great. Its not like any hotel I've stayed at in Toronto. The lobby/restaurant/bar makes you feel welcome and doesn't sacrifice luxury for comfort. The rooms are modern and chic, they make you feel like you're at home if your home was designed by a famous architect. I'll certainly be staying here again. The staff was amazing. Gabriel and Selena were ready to help out at all times and seemed happy and excited to do so. Selena even accommodated us when we told her we were staying for a birthday weekend. We appreciate this kind of hospitality that you don't normally find at hotels. The location is great for a night out, but the bar is so well stocked that you might not even make it to King Street. Highly recommend.
Slam dunk in the city's Garment District and the crossroads of other Toronto areas including Chinatown, Downtown and Queens West, sits the architecturally-rich Ace Hotel. An enviable location, the Ace is a stones throw from music venues, contemporary shopping, bars, restaurants and the city's hot spots. This 14 story property sports a precast-brick facade with a lobby that is outfitted with custom, new and vintage furniture. The soaring natural light-filled lobby bar is suspended by steel rods and framed by steel edged concrete arches. This renders the area column-less and allows guests to view 'Horizon Live', a 3 floor mural, unobstructed, from any perspective. The hotel embraces a strong art program with installations throughout the public places. I was delighted with my cabin-like room. It was truly handsome as it was an architectural collage of concrete, clay, copper and wood...lots of wood...douglas fir. A king bed, with geometric quilt accompanied sweeping park views and the usual high tech appliances were in place with an exceptional Tivoli sound system. You can make your own music with the provided guitar....a funky piece......pretend your Jimmy Hendrix. The bath revealed a separate shower and tub. The best part of my abode, however, was the cozy window bench where I could snuggle up with a book and take in an occasional view. Poised on the lower level is the Alder, a Mediterranean inspired wood-fired restaurant. I enjoyed treats from the sea in the form of a Grilled Sea Bream smothered in Saffron Vinagrette and sided with capers and olives. A Mille-Feuille amply satisfied my sweet tooth. Additionally, the Lobby offers a menu of pastries and coffee in the morning and in the evening offers craft cocktails, wines, beers, snacks and small shareable plates. I enjoyed a combination of grilled octopus and coconut creme pie...a wild and crazy pairing.....washed down with a glass of Vapolicella Blend. So if you gravitate to a hotel housed in a futuristic-forward structure with guestrooms that are at the nexus of rustic and modern, in a terrific location........... .....then try the............Ace Hotel.........A Hospitality Architectural Marvel.…
This hotel is in an ideal area, walking distance to most places in DT but also located on a quiet street. Amazing rooms and beautiful architecture. The Lobby Lounge has some awesome cocktails and even better "Vibe". Elevators are super speedy and smell gorgeous. Huge selection of beverages/snacks in the in-room mini bar, majority of it is local! Bed is super comfortable and lots of closet space as well. On weekend evenings the Lobby Lounge has a great DJ, seems like its the hot place to be this summer.
The new Ace Hotel lived up to its beautiful design with outstanding service, amazing bed linens and cushions! The hotel team were great, helpful and attentive! A wonderful stay! We will be back for sure!
I've been coming to Toronto once a month for a few years, so I've stayed at my share of hotels in the city and i have to say that this hotel stands out in so many ways! I've stayed at other Ace properties and while they're all great, this one might be my new favorite. Aesthetically, the lobby and bar/restaurant are stunning. There was a DJ playing great music in the lounge. I truly didn't want to leave to hotel during my stay, which hasn't happened before! The absolute best part for my stay however, was the service. I was greeted warmly by someone every time i stepped in the door. Everyone in front desk/bar was energetic and friendly. I have to give MVP title to Victoria in front desk, who went above and beyond to ensure my experience at the hotel (and in Toronto) was the best possible. All of these factors, with a huge focus on service, will make it hard to stay anywhere else!…
The Lobby space and entrance on arrival takes your breath away. The bar service and food are exceptional. The room was spotless, new and a very cool design. The room overnight was super quiet. Love the leather bench cushion and reading light. Ample mini bar. I was here for one night and truly loved everything about this new Ace.
