As the city was full due to the hockey World Cup we have chosen this accommodation. That's the only reason. Anyway, it is good located, 5 minutes from the subway. The house looks very old, but inside it is okay. The room is small, but definitely clean. The owner was very friendly and uncomplicated. Wifi works perfect. For 10 CAD...

Place is clean and basic and suited me fine. Room had queen bed and sofa bed. I stayed 9 nights. Amy and Gary were friendly and just a phone call away at Keppner Guest House down the road. Responded immediately. There is no 24 hour desk as in a hotel. But housekeeping does come in on alternate days and changes...

If you look for good price and close to subway, this is the place to stay. The room and the bathroom are cleam and well organized. There are a parking area in the backyard that you pay as an extra. Actually it's a house and without reception. If you need something you need to call them.

very basic accommodation, a single functioning TV channel, no coffeemaker, very poor soundproofing makes you hear all sorts of sounds and voices around the house- makes it impossible to relax and to go to sleep until everyone else calms down.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a mini vacation to Toronto. It was close to the subway, and in a part of town that we wanted to be in. We only wanted a place to sleep at night, as we were busy sight-seeing during the day, and dining at night in nearby restaurants. It is a very basic place...

Hi! We stayed in Ada's guesthouse for 2 nights. We were very disappointed because the room was too small and not very clean. The shower didn't work well so we have problems for taking a shower. When we arrived we couldn't get into the room even that we get there at 13 p.m. we have to wait until 15 p.m....

Stayed here late July 2015 while in Toronto for a few days. The Outside of the building is not the most welcoming of facades on the street but once inside the decor of the building is fine. We were greeted by a friendly man who showed us to our room. We payed him then and then did not see him...

If you are looking for the most basic place to stay where you can feel safe, it is clean and you are exceptionally low-maintenance, Ada's in the pace for you. Our room was clean. Please note it is one blanket and one towel per person. It met our needs. The owner came quickly when we arrived to let us in....

No face clothes. Very budget. Good price for location. Safe place 2 sleep but of your expecting any lux this is not it! Said breakfast...

Stayed here for 7 nights in June. Location is very close to everything needed, and only a block from the subway. The place was very clean and even with my room over the entrance and facing the street, it was very quite at night.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
