I had a stay back when this hotel hasn't been transitioned to a St Regis. St Regis Toronto certainly has a more tasteful decor than its predecessor and live up to the brand. Thanks to Ali and butler team for helping with the room decoration and amenities and making it a memorable anniversary stay. Will return.
It has been at least 4 times I've stayed at the St Regis and every time the experience is impeccable. Staff is extremely attentive, friendly and provide for any requests. For instance, we stayed one weekend for my girlfriend's birthday and they had a bottle of bubbles and macaroons waiting for us in the room. You can request for any missing amenities through the Bonvoy app and have them right away. It is extremely well located within downtown, and all services are great. I would recommend going to the spa at the top floor if you have time, or ordering room service for breakfast as it's excellent. Their restaurant Louix Louis is also pretty cool.
Great hotel, 3rd time staying here and no change in great service and top standard. Pool is stunning with views Gym is great with outstanding views and in the snowfall was something unique Location of hotel is perfect, unfortunately at the time of our stay there was a curfew so a lot of bars and restaurants nearby were closed early or were still permanently shut. Only negatives the restaurant in the hotel Louix Louis wasn’t a very welcoming environment, nothing the hotel did nothing wrong but the clientele there just be warned dress to impress(no matter what time of the day) and be prepared to be surrounded by people with very high opinion of themselves even though most aren’t even staying in the hotel and most likely saving all month to afford the cost of a meal there, just to post on social media. Also the entrance of hotel is taken a little away by it sharing its entrance with the residents sharing the building. So always felt like some staff greeting you were there to look after us and the other half were there for the fulltime residents. Also the champagne toast in the evenings was a lovely touch Love Toronto and Love the St Regis Hotel (or even when I stayed there when it was the Trump hotel and Adelaide hotel) always great…
Most amazing experience of a 5 star hotel here in Toronto. The staff we encountered and engaged with was amazingly friendly, attentive to our needs throughout our stay. A special mention is well deserved with Andrew at the front office, the concierge’s Xavier and Monika who made us feel welcome at home during and even after our stay as we had a package which had arrived after our stay (plus other requests). Their attention of detail is amazing and unparalleled among a lot of hotels here in Canada. It’s also noted that this property has two Clefs d'Or on staff.
My boyfriend and I went for a weekend getaway in Toronto and stayed for the first time at The St-Regis. The entire experience was amazing and the crew was very nice; espacially Elizabeth C. who took care of our room. Also, we booked a treatment at the Spa, the Re-Energize massage, and both our therapists, Robyn L. & Kristine C. were great. At the end of the massage, they gave us a glass of champagne; what a treat! Thank you for the great experience!
We stayed at St Regis for five nights during our trip to Canada. The first thing to stand out is the tiny reception with only two desks - we queued and queued and queued on many occasions due to the lack of personnel. We paid extra and upgraded our room, to then find out if we would have stayed in a superior room, we would get bigger windows with nicer views and a more spacious room. Our first room was in a very bad condition, with broken curtains, half of the lightbulbs did not work and the bathroom flooded after every shower. We mentioned this to a very sweet receptionist who addressed the problem and straight away offered us to change room. To clarify, I dislike very much changing rooms in the middle of my stay, but for what we paid for, I did not want a dark room. The new room was in perfect condition, spacious. Very nice. We were bothered on 3 occasions by the bellman who came to help us move our bags. I clearly instructed him the first time that I needed 20 mins to pack and then we would call him. He kept showing up after 5 mins. Unfortunately, when changing rooms we left behind my electric toothbrush and a set of AirPods. We informed the front desk (after a long queue) 1h after the room move (during the early morning) - they answered that they will check and get back to us. That evening we queued again to ask about this matter, they had no information, so they start the search again, I ask the receptionist to please get back to me within 1h with an update that we were going to be in the room. Nobody called. We repeated the process 3 times every day during our stay - not a single staff member was able to follow up. Finally, a staff member told us that he had read a comment and it said that housekeeping had thrown away our things since they were broken - which is not the case. I ask to speak with the front office manager, they guaranteed me that she will contact me in the morning. Upon check out, no manager was available, I only received an email from security the day after check out saying that they had not found our staff and this does not match what the receptionist told me. I was promised to be contacted by Gina (the front office manager) after my check out to follow up on my case. Surprise - months after I am still waiting for that call. The staff has clearly issues with following up and apologizing to their guests. This is not acceptable.…
Stayed for 2 nights in March for my birthday. I can't say enough about the service we received at the hotel. We had a suite that was exquisite. The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to make our stay extra special. We are returning this coming weekend for a one night stay. Can't wait to go back.
Paid 800 dollars for a one night girls weekend getaway for our 40th bdays. We walked into the room and it was freezing - the thermostat was literally pulled out of the wall -was missing. One of the taps for the sinks didnt even work. The room was for 3 girls and there was only 2 of everything ready for us. For heating they called a service person to come but he couldn't do anything because thermostat was missing. No one ever followed up. In the evening when we called to complain again they said they would give us another room - but we were getting late for dinner. They just brought up a portable heater for us. View was horrible. When I pay 800 dollars for one night the least I can expect is working heat and running water faucet.
The staff are friendly, the room was beautiful and well equipped. The problem is the view. All the rooms on their site state “city view” but what you get is a view of an office building directly across the street which blocks all light from entering your room. We stayed here during the weekend so the building was empty. I can’t imagine staying through the week. Wouldn’t come back or recommend
My husband and I are locals but decided to try the St. Regis for a night out. We usually prefer the Ritz due to their incredible 5 star service, but I wanted to try something a bit different this time. We were warmly greeted and stayed in a corner suite at room 1214 on March 19th. Breakfast was "included" in our rate - but as other reviewers have mentioned - they don't allow you to eat it in your room? What is this.. the Holiday Inn? After a big evening the night before, we woke up tired and just not wanting to eat in a bright, loud restaurant with clanking silverware. Keep in mind, we are paying for this breakfast but there are silly rules put on the breakfast. They would bring us coffee to our room, but of course, I had to pay for it. It's just such a silly rule, and they can blame it on Covid.. or staffing.. or whichever you want, but as a 5 star hotel, this needs to go. So basically we paid for an expensive breakfast we never received. This wouldn't happen at any other 5 star hotels int he area.. so I learned my lesson. Although a very pretty hotel with nice rooms, I will not stay here again - I'll spend my hard earned money where silly rules aren't placed on items Ive already paid exorbitantly for. St. Regis - Drop this rule immediately and let the guests who are paying huge for the rooms to relax in the morning and eat in peace. Shame on you. Instead of leaving relaxed, I left resentful. Not a good guest experience.…
