This is a beautiful renovation of a hundred-year-old home, on a quiet side street off Church. There are hip restaurants and shops just around the corner, but the home itself is quiet. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the other guests were respectful the night I was there, and the hosts were amiable, easy-going and accommodating. I plan to stay...

The time to go to Toronto is in the off season (May and Sept). We had a great time in this city without competing with any crowds. We had Fall like weather Memorial Day weekend (2013). Great location and B&B off of Church Street, across from the Vic pub. We loved the Tulip Room (front of the flat on the...

The inn is really well located near Yonge st and our first impression was how nicely furnished and modern the place is. There was plenty of variety for breakfast - cereals, types of milk, juice, coffee, teas, breads, jams and eggs (cook yourself). The host was very friendly as well. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would gladly stay...

Nothing really to complain about. Good situated, Bike rental right in Front of the door. shops, Restaurants, Bars just around the corner. Parking is like everywhere in Toronto a Bit complicated. This is a wonderful place to stay, very well-situated and extremely well managed! The owner of the house is friendly and welcoming, and he certainly maintains his property with love and care. The rooms are beautiful and cozy, and the bathroom is spotless. Our bed was so comfortable, and, though our room faced the front, we heard little to no...

Sharing a bath (okay--two full baths, both up a narrow staircase from my ground floor room) with several other guests requires both good timing and luck; but the central location (near the Wellesley subway stop--a $3 trip from the airport!), lovely decor and a charming owner/host who keeps the place spotless make the Downtown Home Inn a winner. This morning...

For American/Canedian standards: very very very good breakfast! Nice bedroom, clean bathroom, good location and very good value for money, so nothing can stop you from booking this cosy B&B. If needed, you can always take a drink from the fridge, which is a friendly plus. Although you might be reserved at first sight to share a bathroom, no concerns...

I stayed in the apartment. Comfort was good and clean and free. Location was also convenient. There is also a 24-hour super spar natural food shops nearby. It is quiet after entering a little from the street.

Stayed for 7 nights in total in March as part of a tour of Ontario and Quebec. The Inn made for a superb base to explore the city and couldn't have been better located for the Church/Wellesley Village area, being at the heart of the village but being on a side street so away from the main hustle and bustle....

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
