arrived past 9 pm, there's no one at the front desk but there are 2 receptionists talking at the corner. then they said "we'll be right with you in a minute". Well the minute became 15 minutes. one started talking to someone over the phone and then the other one started looking at paperworks. For heaven's sake, don't you want to check in your customers first and then do the other stuff? No one else was in line and you would think they would check us in right away since it's already past 9 pm? anyway, the room was ok. the chair needs to be replaced and major cleaning needs to be done because the drawers have stains. the good thing about this room is the shampoo/conditioner and body wash and that's about it. I will not suggest to stay here if you are thinking of using the train. It's a bit of a walk and i didn't feel safe walking at night. we ended up using uber daily.

Hotel's Favourite
I spent two nights here in July. The hotel was very nice. I've stayed in all of the other Hilton brands in Toronto over the past four years, and the staff at this hotel was the best. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and helpful. Unlike the Hilton in Toronto, the DoubleTree still offers a wonderful breakfast for their Hilton Diamond members. The buffet was really good, and the staff was very friendly. I had dinner at their hotel restaurant on my first night, and it was very good as well. I liked the ability to self-park in their garage underneath the hotel as compared to the valet service at other Toronto hotels. It was nice being able to retrieve my vehicle as needed and not have to wait for the valet. Last but not least - their chocolate cookies are incredible!

My family stayed at DoubleTree Toronto Downtown in two separate weekends and very much enjoyed our experience. Excellent location, what you see is what you get, and mostly important of all, the staff really know how to deal with the clients. Kudos to the management of setting the very good model here.

Went here for new years eve and booked it as. A cheaper place to sleep after a night of partying. It’s nothing special but the value and location make up for it. It’s right beside city hall a small walk to dundas square. Reception was a pleasant and smooth experience. Overall for the price its a great option for a hotel downtown Toronto.

Stayed one night with my adult daughters, we choose a different hotel every time we have a weekend in the big city! So this was our first time there, and our first Double Tree...I expected it to be a little more high end, as we are used to Marriott/Embassy Suites. But it was about the same. Nicely decorated, but not more than a Marriott. Had to use the bathroom before checkin, they are downstairs. So if you have mobility issues, know this. There are signs, but I still found myself wandering around trying to find it, it's like a 1/2 floor down and I went all the way. Check in was good, a bit of a wait but that's common. The warm cookies were delicious! We headed to the parking garage, oh my it's small! I drive a Grand Caravan and I think this is the smallest garage I had to manouver in! I did it, but it was close! If you have a car then you'll be fine. We had a room on the 3rd floor, nicely appointed, nicely cleaned. Our view from rm 322 was of the roof, so not the best! While the room was nice, comparing it to all the hotel rooms we've been in so far, this is the smallest. It worked for 3 adults, but just. Not so sure it would be as comfortable with a family. The location was a block away from Yonge St and the Eatons Centre. So for a little walk we paid less than the Marriott that we've been to. We saw chicago our first night and Pride and Predjustice matinee the next day, we walked for our first one, but drove for the second one. Over all a good experience, price was right and we enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and room very clean.

Visited this hotel twice and each time I had a wonderful stay. Take the Pearson express train to downtown Toronto and this hotel is a short walk from the train station early check-in was provided and they even upgraded my stay as I was a Hilton diamond member + complimentary breakfast for Diamond members, the front desk manager also remembered me from my last day and it was very kind. Definitely returning as the location is excellent and there’s many great restaurants and shopping options in the area.

Tiny room with no optional upgrade. I received a text from the front desk to ask me how everything was, I made several inquiries but they were all ignored. Must’ve been from a robot. Breakfast buffet was not included, but cost us $80 for two people. There was no warning that it was not your standard free breakfast with a hotel.

The room was good though a bit tired. Check in was a bit frustrating as they had 3 people checking people in but the I presume the concierge standing doing nothing. One couple was trying to check in without a credit card.....spent 10 minutes telling them what was required.....move them on and deal with paying customers. Great location...good breakfast and enjoyed our stay.....park across the street as the parking rates at the hotel are just plain too much.....paid $25 less across the street for one night.

Great spot, walkable everywhere, small room, smaller bathroom, surprisingly good food at the restaurant for dinner and lunch, but fruit wasn’t ripe in breakfast fruit bowl. All the employees I spoke with were nice, polite and helpful. A bit expensive for the size of the room and the quality of the amenities.

This was a super hotel for a central location, with great staff and fab facilities. From the initial welcome from Tara to the cheerful housekeeping staff and comfy beds, this has all the great comforts and customer services you would expect from a Double Tree. The location is brilliant and great for a range of restaurants, Eton Center and a short walk to the Winter Garden Threatre.
