I stayed at the Courtyard for a work project, even though I live fairly close to the hotel. I felt like a tourist in my own city. The Courtyard is very busy and I can understand why its popular with tourists. It right in the heart of downtown Toronto within walking distance to many attractions and public transport. During some time off from my work project, I enjoyed walking to places nearby like Maple Leaf Gardens, Yonge/Dundas and the Gay Village. My room faced onto Yonge Street and had a small balcony outside too. There was construction across the street and plenty of noise from the street below throughout the day and night. If you don't like noise ask for a room that is not facing Yonge Street. My room was modern and quite comfy. The layout was a bit weird. The shower/toilet were located right next to the door. There was a long hallway that then led to the sink area and the main bedroom area. I had to call the front desk at one point, and got stuck in a voice recording hell. At first it seemed like it was a live person answering the call. It was actually some type of simulated voice that could not understand queries and kept prompting me to start again. Eventually I gave up and tried the BonVoy app. The app worked much better although the whole experience meant I wasted at least 1 hour of time trying to get what I needed.

Stayed here for a conference. Conference space was pretty standard. The food offered each day was great! Good variety and really good. The room I stayed in was also pretty standard and was clean. Only thing that irritated me was that the toilet paper holder was not in an accessible spot so I felt like I was throwing my back out to grab toilet paper lol

It is not worth to spend your money at this hotel. I just arrived at this hotel and I'm writing this review knowing I'm going to stay here for 2 days ! My room is just in front of the elevators, no hotel is built that way ! You feel it is an older hotel with discussing quality. Bathroom looks like 20 years ago. I don't suggest this hotel to anyone and I will certainly never come back here. Paying that high, there are much better hotel.

This is a comfortable hotel just north of the downtown area and the best aspect of it is the staff. Everyone is very friendly, polite and helpful but I particularly want to thank Sahil and Shaun who went out of their way to help us and to make us feel very welcome. Thank you very much indeed.

We enjoyed our stay. At first the neighborhood did not seem very enticing but, during the course of our 4 night stay, we came to realize that it was well located with many nearby attractions and restaurants. The room was spacious and quiet. The hotel is very large. We were asked at check in if we wanted a room on an upper or lower floor, which I appreciated and we got a top floor room. There were. A lot if good breakfast options nearby.

We arrived much later than anticipated and were greeted with the good news that our room had been upgraded, which compensated somewhat for the difficult journey we had had. Staff were friendly and courteous and our room was far superior to our expectations!

Just a busy morning and quickly checked out to grab a breakfast and get going on my new job! The staff at the breakfast cafe was so nice. The server was very polite and understanding and helped enhance my experience so much. I don’t remember name correctly but guess it was Shubnam. Wonderful work team. The front office staff was also nice and lovely housekeeping team. Will sure visit again.

I was here on a 4 night stay and was very pleased with the central location. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly especially Nihal, at the front desk, who was professionalism personified. A genuine credit to the organisation. The car valet employee was incredibly helpful and was able to give me directions and recommendations for a good Chinese restaurant on Yonge St. The rooms were well appointed and clean with tea and coffee facilities along with other amenities to be expected from a quality chain hotel. I used the gym daily and it, too, was also well appointed with all necessary equipment for a short stay session. The only thing I did miss was a pool, sauna and steam room. These would have made the stay even more enjoyable. I understand there used to be a pool pre-COVID but this was closed and not reopened. Probably worth considering re-opening it as it adds to the experience. All told, a good stay without any complaints.

Great hotel in a good location for central Toronto (around a 10-minute walk to Union Station, a couple of minutes walk from the main Hop on-Hop Off bus) and around a 15-minute walk to the waterfront). .... and two minute's walk from Fran's Diner! A superb place for a traditional Canadian breakfast. The hotel is mid-market with all the usual facilities needed. Very nice, good-sized room for a central city hotel with everything spotlessly clean. So why not five stars? Just a couple of small issues: The breakfast selection is limited as the food area is more of a cafe than a full service restaurant (we didn't try dinner so unable to review) The bathroom in the bedroom was split into two. One room had toilet, bath and shower while the sink was in a separate open area on the other side of the room. Very strange as this means that every time you use the bathroom you then have to walk across the bedroom (turn on the light over the sink if at night) to wash your hands etc. Inconvenient and disturbing for your partner if the bathroom is needed during the night! But overall an enjoyable stay :)

This hotel is incredibly frustrating, I have told countless colleagues and friends about the incredible restaurant on premise, both food and especially the team (I have told them countless times the restaurant is higher than the hotel. The hotel is older, and I can forgive worn furniture and rugs, but I cannot ignore rudeness. I have stayed there on every stay in Toronto since October of 2022, i have very specific health needs because of leg issues, I have asked them specifically for additional items in the room verbally and through their app. I always am assured i will get what I need, but rarely do. In addition to this, on my last stay, I was having breakfast at 745AM (I needed to return to my room by 8 for a work call) there was an event going on that weekend in Toronto and the hotel created an odd policy of wearing a wristband. They are welcome to do whatever they want, however, since I was checking out after my call I didn’t see a need to put that wrist band on for 15 minutes, these types of bands will irritate my skin within minutes. I told their assistant manager that I was only going to be in the restaurant for 15 minutes then checking out in an hour, he insisted (stared me down) that I “must put the band on”, I explained I would be leaving in a hour or so and he wouldn’t give it up. I asked for my food to go and ate in my room. I watched him bully other guests (while they had food in their mouth) to put their band on. Again, whatever policy they have is their business, and if a guest doesn’t like it they can stay somewhere else. I, however do not need to be harassed while trying to have a quick breakfast and checking out within an hour to put the band on. I told the front desk assistant manager that I needed a note from a senior manager as to whether or not they want me to stay at their hotel and if they would be able to support my needs, all I received was a note from the same assistant front desk manager. I have since canceled two reservations and am staying elsewhere in Toronto. If the hotel GM can’t find time in their day to send a quick email to a lifetime Titanium guest with ongoing issues, then i can understand why the service levels are so low.
