I had surgery the following morning in Toronto, and so I needed to find a hotel close to the hospital. This was one of the closest, and as you can see from my Trip Advisor, I favour Marriott Hotels. This hotel was centrally located and served a great purpose. The parking lot was large and well maintained, Even though the...

We stayed at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown in December 2016 for one night. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. There was a valet service for $35 for secured overnight parking which given Toronto parking prices we thought was reasonable. The rooms were incredible spacious, modern and clean. My only (minor) issue was that our view was onto a large...

It seems that all hotels in Toronto are expensive so this was priced in line with most others of this size. Check in was fast and friendly, room was nice and well equipped. Valet parking, as with all hotels is very expensive but there is a covered and very cheap car park just around the corner. Well located for getting...

The hotel has recently been renovated, resulting in a very comfortable and pleasant experience. It is quiet and clean, and all of the staff were very warm and welcoming. In addition, the hotel is at the very heart of the city, whether for business or pleasure.

Stayed in Suite 535 for two nights. Very nice. Very clean. The sitting room area was nice and large, with a sink and counter (to accompany the bar fridge and safe). The wallpaper and furnishings were muted gray tones - didn't exactly bring the wow factor and no sculptures or artwork on the walls - all very bland and plain....

This is the hotel at Yonge and College, which is a great location for shops and restaurants. Walking distance to Yonge and Bloor (20 min), shopping at Yonge and Dundas (10 min), and bars and clubs in the Gay village. Great, friendly staff, rooms are spacious and clean, comfy beds. Would definitely stay here again. Room TVs have USB ports...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
