Long weekend package deal (Hotwire: Westjet and Chelsea) was a terrific and relatively inexpensive way to visit Toronto! Location is perfect! Walkable distances to Blue Jay games, entertainment district, shopping and innumerable great restaurants. Hotel itself is always good...only negative was the terrible in-room coffee this time around...coffee pods, basically instant coffee. A push to use their downstairs restaurant i...

This hotel was a very big hotel and was busy on our arrival but we were checked in with ease. The service was good but the cafe area, where we went for breakfast, felt a bit like a canteen and maybe aimed at people away on business. Also, there's a lot of conference/venue rooms in the hotel which sometimes took...

We have just spent 18 days traveling in Canada. We stayed for two nights in the Eaton Chelsea Hotel. During that time we found the hotel well situated for exploring Toronto the staff were very polite and helpful. We only had breakfast in this hotel the food was buffet style and of good quality and reasonably price. The rooms were...

I stayed in this hotel last weekend in June and apparently there were 2 weddings and a pride parade going through the hotel. There were so many people in the lobby at all hours of the morning, day and night that I felt I was at a flea market on the streets of Cambodia. I don't even remember the hotel...

Pre-booked business night. Arrived 11.30pm....when I got to my room there was a woman already in it. I went downstairs and after 15 minutes was given a suite...but the room had been flooded and I had to endure an industrial fan all night. The next day I complained to a young girl at the desk who made a totally soulless...

Every time we come to Toronto for the past 3 years we stayed here. The staff has always been polite, courteous and helpful. No matter how busy they are, they always have time for the guests. Nothing can express the gratitude we have for them. Probably one of the main reasons for coming back each year. The location is great,...

The line for check-in was long, which was exacerbated by the check-in clerks allowing people to butt in line. But when I got to the front, I was attended to quickly and efficiently, by a friendly employee. The lobby is a little bit confusing with lots of nooks and crannies and multiple entry points, but it is clean and pleasant....

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
