Our beds were squeaky, even though we were on the 16th floor it was noisy outside all night. We used a sound machine to cut out the outside. Room was very tired and needed to upgraded. Staff were great and location was good.

Hotel's Favourite
My son and I had our first trip to Toronto and we stayed at The Chelsea Hotel. We were impressed as soon as we got there. The staff were very welcoming and so helpful. We were helped with day trips (Niagara Falls, a driver takes you on a day tour and brings you back (highly recommend) and we were helped with discounted tickets to Ripley’s Aquarium) . We liked our room and the view at night was stunning. The hotel is in a great location too , it is near a great shopping mall and more than enough restaurants. You can easily get to other great places as well like the CN Tower etc. If you are a light sleeper you have to bear in mind that the hotel is right in the city so you will hear some noise. I took earplugs so it wasn’t an issue. A great place to stay in Toronto and I would stay there again.

The heating system struggled to heat the room. It cycled on and off every few minutes. This made for a poor night’s sleep. Next time I would request a different room. Check-in was smooth and efficient. The staff member was a delight to deal with, as were all hotel staff that we encountered. Although we didn’t take advantage of it, the in and out parking privileges is a nice feature. Food options were quite varied and appealing.

We stayed here late November for six nights. Check in and out was fine and no issues. The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated, however they are still quite comfortable and clean. We were located on the 18th floor and there was a construction site outside, below. In the morning at about 7am there was noise from this site. Well I suppose some noise is expected you are in a city. I found the noise a good thing because it got me up in the morning and ready to explore. The pool, sauna and hot tub on the 27th floor is great and a nice place to relax. The nice touch was all the Christmas decorations that had been put up in the reception areas. It looked really nice and welcoming.

Stay for one night for a friend’s wedding with my wife. Rooms are outdated. Location is excellent for downtown Toronto. Value is pretty good and service. The bed was pretty uncomfortable and the noise is quite loud loud in the area, sound proofing is poor. However staff are nice from my interactions.

Rooms are in desperate need of upgrading, wallpaper hanging off the walls, rust around the plug hole in the bath, curtains were filthy and covered in holes and there is zero soundproofing from the outside, sirens and people shouting heard from outside every night. Location of the hotel is good, few minutes walk to Dundas or College station.

I stayed at the Chelsea Hotel, Toronto with my mother from 28 October 2023. Mum booked online and requested a quiet room which was kindly accommodated. I checked out halfway through the week to stay at a different (and more expensive) hotel with my husband in Toronto. I definitely prefer the Chelsea hotel, and I will return to stay there again Rooms: Our room was excellent, it had comfortable beds and pillows, fresh and clean sheets, etc. We had a huge tv and a fridge with tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was clean and tidy with fresh towels and the room was cleaned daily. Staff: The staff were all very friendly and polite, they were very happy to help if needed. Location: The Chelsea hotel is a large hotel and its location is excellent. It is two minutes away from Dundas Square, Eaton Centre, Dundas Square subway, etc. It is a great location to explore the city. We thoroughly enjoyed ice hockey at Scotia Bank arena, a trip to Toronto islands, Halloween night at Casa Loma, St Lawrence market, etc. Note: We stayed during halloween and I really enjoyed the Chelsea hotel pumpkin 🎃 carving competition. Note: This was my first time in Canada 🇨🇦 and I loved the city of Toronto. I have never been anywhere in the world where the people are so friendly and nice. People will stop and help you if you look lost, they are genuinely friendly and kind people who take the time to help you because they want to, and not because they are trying to get something out of you. Everyone appears to be happy and smiling. What a lovely place I really love Toronto and its the people that make it so special.

This is a very large hotel with four entrances. This can be confusing as the Niagara bus tours pick up from different entrances (rear/front) so beware of this. The are also different coloured lifts/elevators that go to different floors so get the correct one! There was a long queue/line for reception/check in when we arrived and appeared to be present everytime we were in the lobby. Our room was on the 8th floor and we could clearly hear traffic all the time (maybe pack earplugs?). The hotel is located in an urban area not far from a main shopping mall, metro and restaurants. You need to get the metro to CN tower, etc. We had a twin room of two queen size beds that were comfortable. The bathroom was rather basic with a shower curtain. Breakfast was crowded and seemed expensive, but we soon learnt that everything in Canada is expensive! Room rate was also expensive, in my view, adertised on the back of the room door as $589 for two persons for our room. The hotel has a pool on the 27th floor and a viewing gallery that gives a good view of the surrounding city. Overall was adequate but I have stayed at much better for a similar cost.
